Dr. Howard is a dentist who was raised in Spring Valley, CA and attended Highlands Elementary, Spring Valley Jr. High and Monte Vista High School. Dr. Howard graduated from UCLA in 1994 and then earned his DDS at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Howard enjoys beach living, as he resides in Crown Point with his son Paul. Dr. Howard is an avid sports fan and loves to surf and golf. Dr. Howard is a member of the CDA, ADA and SDCDS.

It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of Dr. Paul C. Howard. Dr. Howard was unable to overcome a massive stroke and passed away on September 9th, 2014. Dr. Howard opened this practice over 35 years ago, in early 1979. His passion for dentistry was only eclipsed by his joy of helping patients on a daily basis. His goodhearted nature and conservative application of dentistry enabled him to sustain this wonderful practice for all those years. Dr. Howards philosophy was a simple one; it followed the golden rule. If he wouldnt have a procedure done on himself, he wouldnt have it done on a patient. He would take emergency patients during lunch and came in on Sunday if a patient required it. He loved his patients and truly whistled while he worked.

I have been fortunate enough to work alongside my father for the last 9 years. I am proud to say that I carry the same philosophy and set of values that my father so adamantly believed in. Our office will continue the legacy of what my father built, with the same commitment, care and passion that has been here since we opened in 1979.

Howard, Paul C. 1944 ~ 2014 SAN DIEGO Dr. Paul Curtis Howard passed away peacefully in his home September 9, 2014 at the age of 70. Curt was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on August 5, 1944 to the late Helen and Paul L. Howard. Curt grew up in the small community of Peters Township, PA and was the youngest of three children alongside his older sisters, Beverly and Helen. Throughout his youth, high school years, and adulthood, Curt was an outstanding athlete. He played baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, and plenty of golf. One of his proudest moments in his youth was representing his community in the Pony League World Series as a pitcher, where in one game he struck out 20 of 21 batters. After graduating from Peters Township High School, he attended Penn State University for 2 years before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Shaw A.F.B. in Sumter, S.C. Once discharged from the service, he received his B.S. in Biology from the University of South Carolina. Curt then returned to Pittsburgh where he worked selling pharmaceuticals for Ayerst Laboratories. In 1971, he entered the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 1975 at which time he joined the U.S. Navy for 3 years. He spent 2 years at Great Lakes Naval Air Station in Chicago and his last year on the U.S.S. Constellation aircraft carrier based on North Island in San Diego. Curt opened a dental practice in Casa De Oro, CA in 1979 and owned his successful practice for over 35 years. He was semi-retired, practicing alongside his son, Curt Jr., where theyve been practicing together for the last 8 years; Curt Jr. will continue to carry on the family dental practice. Curt was well known in the community for his infectious smile, outgoing personality, and happy disposition. He was a music fan who loved to sing and whistle, often while working on his patients. He was a great youth sport coach, coaching all four of his children in various sports and loved to support, encourage, and cheer for his children and grandchildren on the ball fields. Curt was an avid golfer and a member of Sycuan Golf Resort and Rams Hill Country Club in Borrego Springs, CA. Those close to Curt on the golf course affectionately referred to him as Doc. Curt was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, proudly wearing black and gold on football Sundays. His family and friends will miss him dearly and are so very grateful to have been a part of his life. Paul Curtis Howard is survived by his childhood sweetheart, and beloved wife of 48 years, Johnna, and his four loving children: Paul Howard of El Cajon, Kristy Schroeder of Stockton, Curtis Howard of Pacific Beach, and Kelly Warren of Encinitas, and eight adored grandchildren.

I am married and have two wonderful adult children, and now have a daughter-in-law. We have lived a mile from the office since 1999. We love the area. Hello! My name is Kristey, and I have been a full time Registered Dental Hygienist here at the office since June of 2008. I have been practicing Dental Hygiene since May of 1999. I am from Pennsylvania, and moved here to California in the spring of 2008 along with my husband and 3 children (two girls and a boy), to be closer to my parents. My husband works in sales, and our current work schedule allows us to spend a lot of time with our children and their sports. Family is very important to me.
