Dr. Nastea is a graduate of New York University School of Dentistry, and a licensed dentist in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Maryland. She is a member of several professional associations and societies, including the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, theNorthern Virginia Dental Society, and the Maryland Dental Association.
Dr. Nastea has more than 30 years of experience as a practicing dentist in the United States and in Europe, in addition to her extended education. This gives hera truly rich and unique perspective on the practice of dentistry:not just from a health care perspective, but also, sometimes even more importantly, from a human and individual connection dimension.
By regularly participating in continuing education, Dr. Nastea stays informed and aware of the latest technology and dental treatments. Flor will greet you and invite you to your dental chair, take your X-rays, and make sure you are comfortable for your dental procedure with Dr. Nastea and/or our hygienist. Flor has been with our practice since 2016 and is an excellent, dedicated, and friendly dental assistant.
Kat helps the team part time as a Dental Assistant, during school breaks and in other times when she is physically away from school, which happened more this year with COVID and in-person schooling restrictions. Kat is a full-time rising fourth-year student at University of Virginia, majoring in Kinesiology, minoring in Psychology, and also fulfilling pre-med requirements. Kat is dental Xray-trained, with a certificate from NOVA, and is CPR-certified. Kat's professional aspiration is to become a medical doctor (specialty still under consideration, maybe Psychiatrist, maybe Ophthalmologist, certainly TBD at this time).

Every 6 months I have the pleasure, yes pleasure, of my dental checkup with Dr. Nastea . I have been a patient for many years and the thoroughness of her exam assures me of excellent dental health. The staff is very nice and I confess I like to chat, enjoy checking in and out, and making my next appointment. The reminders are very well done and I welcome them. The entire practice could not be more professionally run and I am happy to pass along the word.

How my first cavity ever turned into losing a tooth. After having gone to Cristina for some routine cleanings she told me that I had a cavity that needed to be drilled. Mind you this is the first cavity I have ever had in my 30+ years of going to the dentist. I trusted that Cristina knew what she was doing. Having drilled and patched the tooth I was sent home with some minor discomfort that quickly turned into sharp pain. I called the office and was told I would be charged to have the pain looked at even though it was a result of the drilling. I went in for another appointment and was told everything was fine. The pain kept getting worse so I went to get a second opinion from another dentist who took an X-ray and immediately identified that I had a broken drill bit wedge in my tooth that had been patched over. As a result the tooth needed to be extracted. I do not recommend using Cristina E. Nastea

Have been a patient of Dr Nasta for 10 years or so. I am a Sr and she is the best Dentist I have ever used. Very competent ,patient and takes time to explain the choices available. My wife also is a patient of Dr. Nasta and is likewise very pleased with her experience.
