A Periodontist is a dentist with advanced training in treating the soft tissues, bone, and other structures that support the teeth. Your dentist has referred you to our office due to a concern for an infection or other damage to these tissues. These conditions may be treated non surgically or surgically depending on the nature of the problem.

Dr. Beckner grew up in Springdale, Ohio and attended Princeton High School. He received his pre-dental education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio from 1980 to 1983. Dr. Beckner completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 1987. From there he completed a two-year residency in Periodontics from the University of Kentucky in 1989, while practicing part-time in his fathers periodontal practice in Springdale. He opened a full-time periodontal practice in Hamilton, Ohio in 1990, moving his practice to its current Fairfield location in 2014.
The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 1980 and a Masters in Dental Public Health from Boston University in 1983. She went on to teach in the OSU Division of Dental Hygiene from 1983 to 1995, during which time she earned a PhD in Health Education, specializing in Health Care Administration and Gerontology. She joined Dr. Beckners practice in 2001, now serving as Office Manager and Dental Hygienist. In addition, she continues to pursue her passion for the quality of long-term care of older adults affected by dementia.
Laura is originally from Cincinnati and also attended Princeton High School. She received dental assisting training at Scarlet Oaks and has worked in the dental field for over 35 years. Laura has experience in general dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, and now periodontics. She enjoys gardening, her dogs, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and husband Michael. In addition, she enjoys both the Renaissance and Celtic festivals. She joined our
Michelle also grew up in Springdale and attended Princeton High School. She graduated in 1994 from Scarlet Oaks CDC, where she studied Early Childhood Education. After graduation she was an Assistant Preschool teacher at Heritage Hill Elementary in the Princeton City Schools. She now lives in Fairfield Township where she enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with her husband Tony, two kids, Justin and Jaelyn, and her Grandson, Kaiden. She is a huge animal lover and has a dog (Jaxen) and three cats. She joined our team in 2020.
