Dr. Christopher Molinar is a true Carlsbad local, having grown up here in Carlsbad before returning to start his Dental practice. Dr. Molinars love for this city runs deep, as he attended Jefferson Elementary School, St. Patricks School and Carlsbad High School.
His undergraduate started at Palomar College and finished at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo before he attended the University of Southern California (USC), School of Dentistry. After graduation he was fortunate enough to soon return his hometown of Carlsbad.
He feels very fortunate to be able to return to Carlsbad not only for the beautiful beaches and year-round sunshine, but for the incredible community that makes Carlsbad home. Dr. Molinars practice is in the heart of The Village, so he is able to stay in touch with the other local businesses as Carlsbad continues to grow and thrive! Being centrally located allows Dr. Molinar to meet the new generation of Carlsbadians, while helping long-time friends and their families maintain their oral health.
Dr. Molinar played football and soccer while a Lancer at Carlsbad High School, and was able to continue his passion for teamwork through his volunteer work with local Carlsbad programs. He was a coach for his daughters Sophias soccer team through the Carlsbad Wave FC, and volunteers with his daughter Aninas all-girls-robotics team through Carlsbad High School. Dr. Molinar also is a volunteer judge for the Carlsbad High School Speech and Debate team, supporting his daughter Anina in her role as a Captain.
We hope this about me section let you see that Dr. Molinar cares deeply for this community he has been a part of for over 50 years, and that he is passionate about giving back to organizations that are helping the next generation grow!

Dr. Molinar and his staff always provides 5 star service with professionalism and grace. Last week I had a dental emergency and was able to been ASAP. I very much appreciate the time and recommendations provided by Dr. Molinar. He referred me to an Endodontist and phoned me later that day to follow up. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Molinar for ALL dental services. Thank you again to you and your Amazing staff!

I'll be honest, Dad of 3, last on the line for many things. I know I have issues in my mouth (big cavity, Crown, cracks etc), and I haven't been to the dentist in 2-3years; so I was a bit scared. My last dentist moved out to AZ, so that was kind of my excuse for not going often. Wife looked up nearby Dr. from our insurance, she crossed reference from YELP, and that's how I found Dr. Molinar. Went today, and very glad I did. Had a short to the point visit, identified issues, and went above and beyond what most Dentist have done to me during first visits. Prescreened for cancer, called out all the past work as if he was putting a puzzle together; and he was right on. Now I have a step by step (Thanks Debbie in the front office) plan of attack and I don't feel lost. Great Ran office; very professional! Great Assistant (forgot her name, sorry, but awesome!) Glad I found a new Dentist in my front yard. Happy they are willing to work with my insurance guidelines, and thankful the referrals are going smooth with next stage; ENdo. I rarely right reviews but felt compelled to share the news of a solid new Dr. !

I have been going to Dr. Molinar for a few years now and I have always had an exceptional experience! Every hygienist has been highly skilled, kind and caring with my sensitive teeth, and their work has been very helpful in maintaining my oral health! Dr. Molinar is a true expert in dentistry and he has solved every tooth issue I've had with great communication and compassion. Since the pandemic started I have been very pleased with the precautions they have taken to ensure my safety without sacrificing on quality. I highly recommend Dr. Molinar to everyone who is looking for an outstanding dentist!

If someone told me Dr. Molinar would literally change our lives I would have thought they were exaggerating but nope! My Husband had the worst looking teeth for different sorts of reasons. So embarrassed he wouldn't even smile. My heart ached for him. Dr. Molinar fixed his mouth and he looks like a model!!!! Not only does his mouth look toothpaste commercial worthy but his new smile changed his life! Mine too! I was so sad seeing my Husband get embarrassed about his mouth and now he still cries in disbelief of how "normal" he looks. Dr. Molinar is a great person. We have had GREAT discussions from today's craziness to how it used to be "back in the day". He is WELL rounded and is a pleasure to speak to regarding ANY subject! God sent this man here specifically to use his craft and artistry on our mouths! Make an appointment and allow him to change your life (or at least your smile) too! We cannot thank him and his AWESOME STAFF enough! Front desk greets us with such warmth and professionalism every time!!!!!!!!!! Thank You ALL! Q&T Woodley

Dr. Christopher Molinar is an outstanding dentist! He is very professional, kind, compassionate, and has a great sense of humor. He makes sure that the patient fully understands what he is doing and why. He has often drawn diagrams to help me understand the procedure and put me at ease. My husband and I have referred him to many of our friends because we trust him and know that he will never do an unnecessary procedure. When I had a friend who was in pain during a long weekend and did not have a dentist, I left a message for Dr. Molinar and he contacted me almost immediately. He was willing to go in on his days off because he did not want my friend to be in pain. In essence, he is a dentist who chose his profession to help people. It's also important to know that his entire staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional.

Great place. Strongly dislike how he numbed my mouth alot. He didn't even say what to do after. Like can I eat or drink hot or cold food?

My 6 year old son is very fearful of going to the dentist due to a very bad experience at a pediatric specialist he went to a couple of years ago. Eventually we had to put him under a general anesthetic to get the work done which was not ideal and scary for us. We went to 3 different pediatric specialists without success before that but then recently his crown came off and he wouldn't let her put it back on. My friend highly recommended Dr. Molinar to me. Her two kids love going to his office! He has a very calming way about him and knows how to reason with kids. Previous dentists would build his trust and then break it by giving him a surprise shot or something like that. Dr. Molinar tells kids exactly what he is going to do before he does it and tells them he will under no circumstances ever lie to them and try and sneak anything in. We did spend an entire appointment trying to negotiate with my son and he wasn't having any of it that day, but when we went back again he was able to complete the work and it looks like my little guy has conquered his fears. He was so proud of himself and his new tooth. Rebecca, Dr. Molinar's assistant is a magician as well. She showed my son every tool they were going to use and explained how it works. He realized that even though it looks big and scary it's not really. Debbie in the front office is always very pleasant and kind as well. Dr. Molinar told me in that in his very long career there were only four kids he was unable to work on and we were certain our guy was going to be his fifth. Not so. Thank you so much to Dr. Molinar and his fantastic team!

The entire staff here are wonderfully kind and always succeed at easing my nerves if I walk in feeling like a nervous wreck from my phobia of dentists. It's the only dental office I feel completely comfortable going to! It's a clean, quaint facility. You can tell they care about their patients. Dr. Molinar does amazing work; he is very professional and honest. I appreciate how he keeps my mind distracted while getting dental work done by chatting about stuff. Debbie, the lovely woman who often works front desk and does billing, is wonderfully hospitable and friendly and walks me through payment plans while making everything easy to understand. :) Definitely recommend!
