Dr. Chris Feldman, born and raised right here in New Iberia, is proud to serve the community he has always called home. Dr. Feldman started his education attending North Lewis Elementary and Belle Place Middle School. During his middle school years, his desire to enter the orthodontic profession was sparked while he underwent orthodontic treatment. He was fascinated by the art and science involved and quickly recognized how creating an amazing smile could positively impact the lives of others.

Dr. Feldmanattended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majoring in Biology. While in college, he was the president of Kappa Sigma Fraternity & the Inter-Fraternity Council, a member of the Student Orientation Staff, and a board member of the St. Judes Up Til Dawn Fundraiser. He graduated Summa Cumme Laude with a 3.97 and was accepted to the LSU School of Dentistry. His leadership did not stop there, as he served as class president as well as Student Government President for two years, all while scoring well enough to earn a spot as a resident at the Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics in Jacksonville, Florida. After spending 3 years as a resident,Dr. Feldman earned his certificate inOrthodonticsand came home to pursue his dream of opening a practice in New Iberia.

Very pleased with Dr. Feldman so far for my daughters orthodontic treatment. He is very personable, knowledgeable and kind. I really like how he takes the time to really explain the treatment plan. The rest of the staff is also very professional and friendly. You can not help but to feel comfortable and welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. Highly recommend.

We love Dr. Feldman and his staff. My kids and I all have braces and every visit is fun. When my son went for his 1st phase he didnt have the confidence to smile. When his 1st phase was done he was smiling all the time! This is my 2nd set of braces and my 1st orthodontist was not cool and fun like Dr. Feldman and the staff werent very friendly. He and his staff ROCK!!!!!

After his own orthodontic treatment was complete,Dr. Feldmanslife began to change, and he attributes much of the change to the confidence he gained with his new smile. While at New Iberia Freshman High and New Iberia Senior High,Dr. Feldmanspent time playing football & soccer, boxing, and running track and field. At the same time, he excelled in the academics and eventually graduated with a 4.0 from NISH, earning him the title of Valedictorian.

Dr. Feldman is very passionate about Orthodontics but also has an exciting life outside of the office. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his wife Krysta, his two beautiful kids, his family and friends. He also enjoys working out, eating at restaurants, and visiting new places. He is an avid Saints fan and loves to attend their games whether in the dome or on the road. He was even lucky enough to work on the sidelines for a few gamesJust ask and hell tell you all about it.

Amy was born and raised in New Iberia and has been in the dental field for over 8 years. She has completed many continuing education classes to keep up with the latest dental and orthodontic technology. Amy loves to see our patients new-found confidence and appreciation once treatment is complete. She also enjoys getting to know new people and creating friendships.

Amy is here for all of our patients to establish payment plans, welcome patients to our office, and answer any questions a patient may have about their account. She takes pride in making these processes as easy as possible and making sure every patient and their family members have an enjoyable, comfortable experience at our office. She spends most of her spare time with her husband Jesse and three beautiful children (Cameron, Mali, and Vayda). She loves cooking and doing home projects as a family. She also loves to be outdoors anything in the sun makes her happy!

Mallori Verret, our Treatment Coordinator is from Jeanerette Louisiana, who currently lives in New Iberia. She graduated from high school in 2011 and furthered her education at South Louisiana Community College with an Associates Degree in Business. She is Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certified and has attended many continuing educational conferences. Mallori was the very first assistant to be hired here at Feldman Orthodontics and then transitioned to treatment coordinator. She truly loves interacting with each patient, getting to know them and making sure every patient feels at home when they are here. She believes a beautiful smile makes such a big difference on how a person feels. On her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Brock and son Harrison Wes, riding in the boat, traveling to the beach to visit her nieces and shopping.

Tali was born and raised in New Iberia, La. She graduated in 2012 from New Iberia Senior High School. After high school she went on to Academy of Acadiana where she finished in the dental and orthodontic program. She is now certified as an EDDA (Expanded Duty Dental Assistant). Tali says having braces a few years back and improving her smile is what made her want to be in the dental field. Knowing she can help others be more confident in their smile makes her happy! On her free time, she enjoys spending time with her baby boys, hanging out with her family, and watching Netflix.

Mallary Louviere, or as we call her at the office Lou, is our receptionist. She was born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana. She is a 2008 graduate of Catholic High School. She attended the Academy of Acadiana in 2013 for Medical Billing & Coding and also Medical Office Assistant. She loves interacting with everyone who walks through our doors and making sure everyone is comfortable and excited to be here. She spends her off time with her family, her husband, Kaygan, and her three beautiful kids. She is the first smiling face you see every time you walk into our office!

Brittany, our Orthodontic Assistant, was born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana. She is a 2015 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. After high school, Brittany attended Academy of Acadiana for Dental and Orthodontic Assistant. She is not only an outstanding assistant and lab tech, but a great person over all. She spends her off time with her family and friends and loves to bake! She loves working with patients and seeing their transformations throughout treatment. Seeing the confidence in our patients after getting their braces off always brings a smile to her face!

Katelynn LeBourgeois was born and raised in Franklin, La. She graduated High School in 2011. She furthered her education at SLCC where she received an Associates Degree in Business. Katelynn is a former patient of ours and is now rocking a Feldman Ortho smile!! I guess you could say we were her inspiration to fulfill a career in the dental field. She went to Academy of Acadiana and soon became an Orthodontic Assistant! Katelynn is now EDDA certified and loves to help perfect and create beautiful smiles! On her free time, she loves sipping on coffee, watching Disney movies, and being outdoors with her son Hudson and her beautiful Aussie dogs Coast and Moose! We are so excited to have Katelynn as a part of the Feldman Orthodontic Family!

Shaye was born and raised in New Iberia, LA. She graduated in 2017 from New Iberia Senior High. Right out of high school she went to school to become certified as a Dental Assistant. When not working at Feldman Orthodontics she loves spending time with her high school sweetheart Andr, baby girl Blakely, and her two pups. Her favorite part about being an orthodontic assistant is being able to see the final transformation and how happy the patients are when leaving our office!

Krysta is originally from Millville, New Jersey and moved to the Youngsville area in 2013. Krysta has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling but is taking time away from the mental health field to learn all she can about the orthodontic world! Krysta loves working in a busy office environment and meeting all patients and their families. Krysta enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Feldman, their two beautiful kids and their energetic puppy, Breezy. Krysta loves practicing yoga, traveling (especially to places she's never been before), and visiting her family and friends in NJ.

Katelyn, was born & raise in New Iberia, Louisiana. She graduated from New Iberia Senior High in 2015. Once she graduated she attended AOA where she received her certification for dental & orthodontic assistant. Katelyn also has her EDDA - Expand Duty Dental Assistant certification. She started working as a orthodontic assistant in February of 2017 & has loved it ever since. Seeing our patient transformation & confidence boost from their new smile is her favorite part about working at Feldman Orthodontics. In Katelyns free time she love to hang out with her husband, Christopher, & kids, Connor & Kollyns, shopping & watching bloggers on Instagram. We are so lucky to have Katelyn a part of our Feldman family!

Karmen was born and raised in Morgan City, Louisiana. After she graduated high school in 2009, she attended The Academy of Acadiana where she studied Dental and Orthodontic assisting. Since then, she has worked over 10 years in the dental field. Over these years she has been a clinical assistant, treatment coordinator, receptionist and insurance coordinator. She is also EDDA (Expanded Duty Dental Assistant) certified. Karmen loves helping patients get started on their journey to a new smile. She also enjoys working in whatever roll the office needs, which makes her a valuable asset to the team. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband Aaron and two children, Ofelia and Crosby.

Jennifer, our orthodontic assistant, was born and raised in Franklin, Louisiana. She attended Hanson Memorial High School and graduated in 2003. Jen then become a certified EDDA (Expanded Duty Dental Assistant) and worked in the dental field for 5 years. After a few years in the dental field she grew an interest in animals and worked at a veterinarians office for 14 years. After her time at the veterinarians office her love for dental was still there and that is when she became a part of our team in May of 2020 and has been here since. Jen loves interaction with our patients and makes sure each patient leaves with a smile! On Jens free time she enjoys CrossFit, hanging out with her husband Miles, and her sweet baby girl Evelyn. Jen is very special to our team and is always motivating us in positive ways!

Braces work by gradually and steadily applying pressure to your teeth. The wires shift the brackets, which in turn move your teeth into position. The rubber bands improve alignment, helping your teeth to line up in the right way.

If you have bite problems, whether its overbite, underbite or crooked teeth, you may be a good candidate for braces. Usually, its much better to have braces earlier in life rather than later. However, you can have them as an adult as well. Dr. Feldman can do an evaluation to help you determine whether braces are right for you.

Todays braces have come a long way. You can get clear braces, tooth-colored braces, or even behind-the-teeth braces in some cases. Brackets are smaller and slimmer than ever, making braces both more comfortable and less obvious than they were years ago. Teens and adults also have the option of invisible aligners for teeth straightening (Invisalign) instead of traditional braces.
