Dr. Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in 1980, and spent seven years as a Biology teacher. When she decided on a career in dentistry, she attended Baylor College of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1994. She spent her first year as an associate in a private dental practice in Mesquite, Texas. In 1995, she opened her own practice in Rockwall, Texas and has remained at the same location, serving the dentistry needs of her local community.
Dr. Smith looks forward to every day of practicing dentistry. She likes the challenge of implementing the continually changing new technology in todays dentistry. And she strives to keep the care in dental care by doing the best dentistry possible for each and every patient. She especially enjoys seeing the long-term results of dental solutions for her patients. The biggest compliment she can receive is, This still works as well for me and is as beautiful as the day we did it ten years ago!
Mike is a born and raised Texan, whose hometown is Denison. He has more than twenty years of experience in staff development and operations, and has BBA in Marketing from North Texas State University. With his diverse business practice background, he has an extensive understanding of building successful financial operations. Mike has been a valued part of the Heritage Dental Group Team since 2011.
Mike likes the family feeling of Heritage Dental Group, the wonderful patients, and believes Cheryl Smith is a great doctor. He has two children, Baylee and Cole. He enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Kathy currently resides in Mesquite, Texas, where she lives with her husband of twenty-three years, and their three children. Shes been in the dental profession for more than twenty-five years, and started at Heritage Dental Group in 1998.
Kathy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Texas Womans University. She takes twelve hours of continuing education every year to ensure she stays current on updated techniques and technology in the dental industry.
Jamie has more than thirty years experience working in the dental field, and joined the Heritage Dental Group team in 2013. She loves helping patients achieve and maintain their healthiest smiles, and working with our dedicated dentist and team. Jamie earned her bachelor of science in dental hygiene from Texas Womens University and completes numerous hours of continuing education every year to ensure she offers her patients the best care. She has been happily married to Bill since 1992, and they are the proud parents of five children and six grandchildren. In her free time, Jamie enjoys travelling especially taking cruises and spending time spoiling her grandkids.
Kim is originally from Hawthorne, CA. Shes been working in the dental field for over 25 years now and first started at our practice in 2016. She attended Southern California School of Dental Crowns and has her radiology certificate, nitrous oxide monitoring certificate, and CPR certification. She loves working for Dr. Smith, who offers an exceptional level of skill and compassion to her patients. She takes pride in providing patients with a relaxed, comfortable environment so that their dental care experience is always positive!
Tori has been working in the dental profession for a year now. Originally from Mesquite, she attended Eastfield College as a student athlete, taking the dental assistant program. Her favorite parts of her job are being able to observe Dr. Smith caring for her patients, seeing smiles, and enjoying the positive environment! She loves helping people.
Jennifer is our front desk assistant, and joined our practice this year. She has been in the dental field for six years, and got her Registered Dental Assistant certification from Collin County Community College. Although she was born and raised in Mesquite, she currently lives in Forney, Texas. She loves working for our practice because everyone is fun, outgoing, works as a team, and because she feels like a member of our family. She enjoys the efficiency of her job, and loves helping patients with their needs. When she is not in the office, she enjoys taking care of her five children, spending time with her husband of ten years, and loves crafting, decorating, and spending time at the beach.

I needed to have a bonded filling replaced after it popped off during a cleaning at an annual visit to the periodontist. Since his office was not equipped to replace it, I immediately called Dr. Cheryl Smith's office and got an appointment. My scheduled time was at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Traffic was light, and I arrived shortly after 3 p.m. Within a few minutes after I arrived, I was taken back and prepped for the procedure. I was walking out of the office less than 10 minutes after my originally scheduled time to arrive with a new bonded filling--no pain, no problems.

It doesn't get any better than Dr. Cheryl & her staff. Such a great team! It makes you feel so relaxed. The office is really fun too with the vintage vibe & decor. Really just lovely, pretty things to look at. They are also doing a top notch job in the way they are dealing with Covid. I'm impressed by this because frankly, I have seen a lot of dentists. In my experience many of them really don't consider your medical issues & risk. They just list medications & history. Cheryl & Mike have put a system in place whereby you don't contact any other people besides staff.

I've been to quite a few dentists and Dr. Smith is by FAR the best I've ever known. She is exceptionally professional and takes the time to understand your situation and will give you the options that will fit within your budget. I've been coming to her for my dental needs for almost nine years now (I think) and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anybody!

Dr Smith is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. She preformed a wisdom tooth extraction. She along with her staff has been professional and comforting. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great dentist and great staff!!!!!!
