Charles J. Burliss is a periodontist offering personalized dental care for Salem, NH gum disease patients. Dr. Burliss first began his dental careeer as a dental technician at the Champlain Dental Lab and, later, Vermont Dental Ceramics. His experience as a dental technician inspired Dr. Burliss to pursue his goals of being a periodontist.
Dr. Burliss attended the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University and the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University. Dr. Burliss completed his post graduate resident teaching at Boston University Dental Health Center where he earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies and a Masters of Science in Oral Biology. He practiced in Boston for 8 years before relocating to Salem.

Doctor Burliss and his staff provide excellent quality of care, compassion, and relaxing environment. Working collaboratively with my dentist, he surgically extracted the tooth, did a bone replacement graft and took time to explain procedures. His assistant fully explained the follow-up care, which helped enormously. I have now been able to complete the implant and the area has completely healed. The office staff made time sensitive appointments and explained payment options. They have been a valuable resource for me and anyone seeking to maintain dental health.

Tooth extraction went great. Bleeding was minimal. No swelling after icing for recommended time. Pain was kept in check with tylenol. Very positive experience as with past visits for implants.

So I get an estimate in Nov 2019 and when the estimate came back.. some of the covered expenses were reduced because I had already used benefits and had exceeded my max. Decided to get the work done in Jan 2020. Sitting here now trying to explain to them that the insurance will be paying more than the 2019 estimate and that if I overpay with Payflex it becomes near impossible to fix.. I ask them if instead of 1600 I could pay 1300 and then after the insurance pays I would pay the balance... they kept regurgitating " policy is 100%" over and over. I was forced to pay in full and will need to deal with the over payment my self. Never will use this place again if they are this black and white.
