Dr. Chen is dedicated to helping people achieve their dream smile. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an undergraduate degree from the School of Engineering and Applied Science and a minor in Fine Arts. She returned to UPenn for a Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD), and graduated with Honors.
After dental school, she moved to New York City for an intensive post-graduate specialty program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at New York University. Her background in art and engineering naturally led Dr. Chen to specialize in orthodontics, where she uses the latest technology to design beautiful and healthy smiles.
The Washingtonian Magazine has named Dr. Harrington as one of the Top Orthodontists in the Washington Area since 2003. He has been setting the highest standards of excellence in dentistry and orthodontics for more than twenty years.
After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Emory University School of Dentistry in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Harrington spent nine years serving his country as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy. Following his passion, he went on to receive his postgraduate orthodontic training from the New York University College of Dentistry. Committed to continue
education, he has completed the Invisalign Masters Program in advanced clinical techniques. Dr. Harrington attends several local and national meetings each year to provide his patients with the most up to date digital orthodontic treatments possible.
When Dr. Harrington is not in the office, he cherishes time with his wife Regina and family. Taking advantage of the many outdoor opportunities in our area, you may bump into him climbing, road biking, running, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding and just enjoying life with his family.

Beware, this Orthodontist charges the equivalent of $800 per hour for any minor repairs you may need on your orthodontic appliances. Dr. Chen spent less than 15 minutes to reattach my daughter's permanent retainer to the one tooth it had separated from and we were charged $191. My family had been patients of Dr. Harrington's, the original owner of this practice, for over a decade and were always treated fairly. This practice still lists his name, but bears NO resemblance to the reasonable, patient-caring Orthodontist who once owned it but no longer is practicing there. We will never return to this practice nor recommend it, which we have done for the past 15 years.

Our 13 year old son Andrew recently had his braces off. We started with Dr Harrington and ended with Dr Chen - but both of them and their staff were always knowledgeable and friendly. They insisted on the best results and that's what we got!

We came here through a recommendation and we are so glad we came here!! I took my son here for a consultation. When we walked in, we were greeted by a very generous and friendly staff!! We didn't have to wait. And Dr. Chen was AMAZING!! Her and her staff made us feel so welcomed. Dr. Chen took her time thoroughly evaluating my son and his teeth and took the time to answer my questions. Very honest. Not many offices do that. I will be recommending this place for sure and this will be my go to as well for future orthodontics work (if my son needs it).

Dr. Harrington is a wonderful Orthodontist. With an excellent attentive staff. I am in the process of completing an adult Invisalign treatment to fix my very crowed and crooked teeth. The Invisalign plan worked better than expected. My teeth are completely straight and I have regular appointments with Dr. Harrington to make sure the ongoing treatment is working correctly. That means my teeth are staying aligned and my bite is correct. I highly recommend North Potomac Orthodontics to anyone young or older who would like a painless way to correct cosmetic issues with your teeth.

Dr.Chen is one of the best doctor's you'll ever meet. Very professional, gentle and friendly. I especially loved how Dr.Chen connects with her patients. My experience with braces has been amazing! I am loving my new smile :) Highly Recommend!

Dr. Harrington and his staff are very nice and knowledgeable. He didn't treat us as a businessman but he is more like our family and always give us an honest opinion. When we needed to fix my son's braces urgently, he always helped us without hesitation. My son just got his braces removed last month and his teeth now are beautiful! Thank you for always being there for my kids.

Dr Christine Chen is very friendly and welcoming every time I went to go see her. She worked on me when I had invisalign and then I had to switch to braces. My teeth are finally straight! I highly recommend Dr. Chen, professional and very thorough with her communications.

The staff here is very nice. Everyone there is very professional, and the treatment itself is amazing. They were very quick to schedule immediate appointments when I needed them. Highly reccomend.

I can't put into words how pleased I have been with Dr. Harrington and his wonderful staff! Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. A friend had recommended Dr. Harrington to me years ago and since then, all 3 of my children and myself have been through treatment. The kids had pretty straight forward cases (braces for all 3 in addition to a lip bumper for one) that all resulted in beautiful smiles after treatment was completed...and mine was a little more complicated at 43 years old, involving coordination with my surgeon for jaw surgery over the course of the two and a half years of treatment. Everything went smoothly though. There were no hiccups, no dissatisfaction, no long waits for appointments, no issues at all! I was finishing up treatment over these last few months during Covid and the adjustments the office made to ensure safety for patients and staff have been very impressive as well. I'm so happy to have found this practice. It has literally been life changing for me. p.s. they even sent flowers to the hospital while I was recovering from jaw surgery! :)
