Catherine Guerrero, DMD, became a pediatric dentist so she could make sure that every child who walks through the doors of Dr. Cat & the Tooth Pediatric Dental Office feels welcomed and comfortable. Shes committed to giving each child the best dental care and the best time possible while at her office in Woodland Hills, California.
Dr. Cat as shes fondly known by her patients wasnt always a dentist. She spent several years working for the United States Secret Service and in the computer industry. All that changed when her son had a bad experience at the dentist. Recognizing the need for warm, caring dental care for kids, Dr. Cat decided to change careers.
She went to dental school at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, earning her certificate in public health simultaneously. Afterward, she completed her residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. Today, she is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Dental Association, and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Cat knows that each patient and their parents can only make the right decision for their individual smile when they have all the relevant information. Not only does she strive to educate her patients, but she also keeps herself educated. Dr. Cat stays on top of the latest dental innovations so she can use the best tools and treatments for her patients. Whether shes helping children understand their teeth or offering specialized orthodontic care, Dr. Cat layers a warm, fun approach over everything she does.

First time at the office and the staff was truly amazing! So glad we chose them. This is our third pediatric dentist since moving and they were by far the best. Especially with my son who with Autism.

Absolutely love and appreciate Dr Cat & her team. Everyone is patient and caring. They have individual tv screens in each chair and you can choose which kid show to play and it is so key. They've made his dental experience a very positive one. Can't recommend them enough!

Amazing amazing dentist! She took my daughter last minute even with her busy schedule to fix my daughters dental issue. She was so gentle and patient, my daughter felt no pain at all. I can't speak any higher for this dental office! Thank you Dr. Cat!!!

Dr Cat and the Tooth Pediatric Dentist is the best pediatric dentist overall in SFV, maybe even in LA county. Dr Cat and staff went beyond the call of duty to make our little 2 year feel comfortable and calm during her visit. Yesenia, her assistant was so patient and gentle during the teeth cleaning which let me remind you, flossing was involved. My little one was so responsive and allowed her to do a thorough cleaning. This office is so professional, efficient and so thorough in what they do. Especially getting us out in a timely fashion and that is very important especially with a 2 year old. Each person in this office was full of generosity and love that I was flabbergasted. Our daughter felt so comfortable with Dr Cat that she even gave her my hugs and kisses...lol. I am extremely pleased with this office where they make you feel like a part of their family! We even received a gratitude card and some stickers for my little one. Hands down the best pediatric dentist! Thank you

I have been visiting her since my child 2 years old and I have been there for last 5 years in a row. She is caring and nurturing with gentle touch. The staffs are knowledgeable and explains you the issues and remedy .At the end they give goodies. Overall, a nice pleasant experience for my baby.

BEST kids dentist EVER!! We went to Dr Cats for a 2nd opinion after my daughter's regular dentist recommended general anesthesia & a ton of dental work. Dr Cats was able to get all my daughters dental work done pain free, no shots, no loud tools, no anesthesia!! Dr Cats & Ms Tish are super kind, friendly, and know how to keep a 4 year old happy & comfy while spending an entire hour in the chair!! I 1,000,000 recommended them!

What an enjoyable experience my kids had as first-time patients! Thank you to the dental assistants, Ray and Yesenia, for being so kind and explaining everything to the kids step-by-step. You made their time with you perfect. And to Dr Cat, your patience and understanding meant so much to me. Again I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cat and her staff! Very friendly and good with kids. My 4 year old daughter who was resistant and screaming at first even said "nice!" When Dr. Cat started brushing her teeth. We all got a good laugh out of it! I will always recommend Dr. Cat to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist. 12 out 10!

Took my son here for his first Dentist Appointment, and the experience was a pleasure I was not expecting. The office is beautifully set up, and very clean. We arrived right at our appointment and waited less than a minute to been seen. The patient rooms are kid friendly with TVs and kid programs ready to go. The staff was so attentive to my son, and made his first visit very special. Dr Cat came in right away. She is very warm and friendly and explained everything she was doing step by step, and asked if we were on board before she did anything to my son. The whole experience was awesome! So happy we found her.

I was absolutely blown away by this place I decided to try a different dentist for my daughter she is 2 years old and gets scared easily I read the reviews and they were so good I wanted to try it for myself let me start off by saying easy parking beautiful office welcoming staff very clean office Ray brought us back and was so nice to my daughter he asked her what she liked to watch put her favorite show on she felt less anxious she even felt comfortable enough to sit in the chair by herself I was so proud Ray showed her each instrument and explained to her what it was for letting her hold it she really enjoyed it. Dr.Cat was so nice and patient with my daughter she gave us all the information we needed to make an educated decision the was in the best interest of myy child while also taking into consideration that she is my baby and as a mother I was worried she explained everything to me and didn't make me feel rushed which I loved I'm glad I decided to go to this office

If I could give Dr. Cat and her wonderful staff 15 stars, I would! My son (4 years old) was apprehensive to go to the dentist yesterday but he was immediately at ease once he entered the office. They had super cool Halloween decorations and such a cheerful and kind staff. Ray, who cleaned my son's teeth and took x-rays is purely magical. He was so gentle and fun! My son didn't even flinch when the x-rays were being taken. Dr. Cat was amazing as well. She made my son laugh and feel great! I am recommending Dr. Cat to everyone I know!!! BEST pediatric dentist EVER!!!

Dr. Cat is the BEST pediatric Dentist I have had the pleasure of bringing my children to. She is kind and so knowledgeable, she treats her little patients with respect and speaks to them in terms they can understand. Both my boys LOVE going to her for their check ups and anything else they may need! LOVE Dr. Cat and her entire staff!
