Thea and her husband moved to Bowling Green in October 2015 from Kansas. She has 14 years of experience working in the dental office field and began working for Dr. Travelsted in May of 2016. She loves her dog, enjoys watching KU basketball, and of course loves working at SKS!
Erika is a Bowling Green native. She attended Western Kentucky University in which she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been practicing hygiene for seven years. When Erika is not scaling teeth, she enjoys playing with her two dogs and exercising at CrossFit. Happy Flossing!
Cortney and her husband just moved to BG in June from West Virginia. She has been a Dental Hygienist working in private practice for six years. When she is not treating patients she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. She also loves reading and traveling!
Keri is our Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. She received her certification from U of L school of dentistry, and has been practicing in the dental field for eight years. Keri enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, attending her childrens sporting events and baking custom cakes. She looks forward to seeing patients smiling faces!
My training as a general dentist allows me to help patients with a wide variety of needs; fillings, crowns and bridges, ZOOM whitening, treating children, treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, and restoring dental implants to function just to name a few. I am always searching for the most current materials and techniques available to provide optimal patient care.
With the exception of my four years in Lexington, I have called Bowling Green home. My wife and I are both proud WKU alumni. When not working, we like to spend time outdoors, kayaking, hunting, and wood-working.
I believe passionately in preventive treatment and patient education in order to develop a lasting partnership with every patient. We will work together to find the right treatment for you, should the need arise for more extensive care. Rest assured that your comfort and care is our number one priority. I look forward to meeting you soon.

My teeth couldn't be happier after a visit to Dr. Travelsted's office. They told me several times that the visit was a good one. Listen to your teeth! I only cried twice when my teeth were being cleaned. I'm kidding. She did an excellent job.

My youngest child has Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome and we delayed her dental visit due to the trauma she experienced with chronic and severe vomiting. Dr Travelsted suggested she come watch a cleaning to ease her into regular visits. Due to Covid only one parent was allowed to go, I was the lucky parent. The hygienist was incredibly patient and cleaned my teeth while my toddler ran wild, climbed all over me, and attempted to pull down the blinds. They spent the time needed to gain her trust so she would allow them to look at her teeth. For her grand finale she wet through her diaper and left a puddle in the floor and they didn't bat an eye. I have never encountered such a fantastic, all around staff, in a dental office. My family has been seen by Dr Travelsted for several years now and I cannot imagine seeing another dentist.

I always get nervous at the dentist especially new places but they were so kind it made me feel much better. Bethany did a great job cleaning my teeth and Dr. Travelsted was friendly and professional. I'm so glad to have found a dentist I love since recently moving to BG.

This was my first visit with Dr. Travelstead. I thought the staff was very friendly, but also professional and thorough. As with most first visits I needed to have some x-rays. Their equipment is very modern, in fact I had never seen such an advanced x-ray machine before. The machine allowed them to take a single 3-D image of all my teeth. Dr. Travelstead was great...he examined the image and discovered the source of a problem that has existed for 2 years, but no other Dentist has found! I was really pleased with this discovery and I knew immediately that he was a real pro! If you're looking for a Top-Of-The-Line Dental team for you and your family...look no further. One visit and you'll know you found the best.

My partial was giving me some problems. I called the office and they said, "can you be here in 20 minutes". They never fail to get me in the same day when a problem pops up. I walked in and they were ready for me. Didn't require seeing Dr.Casey for this need. Phylis took a look and in no time, she had me fixed up. She's the best and so caring and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Casey and his team, very professional but genuinely friendly and caring. They take time to get to know you as a person and not just as another one of their patients.
