Dr. Casey OConor is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors. He completed a general practice residency with the United States Air Force in Saint Louis and practiced general dentistry for two years in Panama City, Florida.

Dr. OConor received his specialty certification and a masters degree in orthodontics from the State University of New York in Buffalo. He has been practicing orthodontics in Cleveland for more than 30 years. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Only 20 percent of orthodontists have achieved this status.

Dr. OConor is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, Cleveland Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, Lorain County Dental Society, West Shore Study Club, Composite Study Club, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

He is actively involved in numerous civic organizations, including the Cleveland YMCA, Chamber of Commerce, Kamms Corners Development Corporation, and Rotary International. Our office was named North Ridgeville Business of the Year for our community involvement.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be.
