These people are horrible, made an appointment more than 2 weeks prior to coming in (first time there, only time there) I went for a tooth extraction and a bone alignment in the same spot, THEY told me I needed an x-ray (even though another dental office referred me to them and I did 1 for that dentist already) only for them to tell me the day of the appointment that my insurance don't cover the alignment. After they extract my tooth on way out the door they telling me I have to pay for the x-ray out my pocket Even though the dentist that refer me to them already took an x-ray. I feel ripped off and if they had weeks to research my insurance why didn't she call me back before the appointment to tell me it's not covered when that's what I went for? I want my money back for that x ray

Dr. Miles was highly unprofessional and condescending. When I asked him to explain the details of a procedure, he lost his temper and even swore at me. He was vague about his decision-making and would not explain any evidence-based rationale. Some quotes include "I will not change my philosophy for YOU, I am the doctor" and "it's a ******* tooth." It felt as though he was rushed, which may be due to the fact that my appointment was at 5 PM. I went home without having my procedure done due to how uncomfortable he made me. His bedside manner needs some serious amendment. If you are on the fence about him after reading his reviews like I was, this is your sign to find someone better.

What a terrible experience with Cary Miles. I dont even want to call him doctor. This guy made my little sister cry during the prep for a wisdom tooth extraction. She had to leave AFTER BEING NUMBED. Horrible attitude, incompetent service, and arrogant dentist. He will botch your visit too. Go elsewhere.

I was extremely nervous as this was my first 'oral surgery' but Dr. Miles and his lovely assistant, Patricia, were so understanding and kind, they explained everything thoroughly and helped me calm down and proceed with no worry. The surgery was quick and effective, the staff professional and the office comfortable. I did not wait at all and once the surgery was done, I received clear (written) post-surgery instructions and a lip balm (a nice touch). Thank you Dr. Miles, Patricia and the staff for your professionalism, efficiency and kindness.

I've seen Dr Miles several times and I didn't have any problems with his work. I can't say the same for his attitude and condescending self. He once called me 'dramatic ' as I was very anxious and scared which I felt it was unprofessional coming from a DDS and on my first visit. I recently went for a consultation for a separate tooth problem and he was still condescending and somewhat rude so I decided to find another dentist to do the work.

Dr. Miles extracted my 4 wisdom teeth last week. He was very honest and precise and walked me through everything he was doing so that I knew exactly what to expect. He even gave me a stress ball to squeeze because he knew I was nervous. He was very generous and positive and so was his assistant. The office was very quick and professional. I highly recommend this surgeon. I am so happy I went with this office to get this surgery done.

I saw Dr. Miles this morning for an extraction. Dr. Miles was kind, patient and thorough. His assistant during the extraction was thoughtful, and kind. She checked on me several times while the numbing went into effect. She offered me water, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. Before I left, another lovely lady gave me thorough care instructions, and told me I could rest in the chair until I felt up to leaving. The experience was as best as an extraction could have been, thanks to the professional demeanor, calm, and care of all involved. Thank you, Dr. Miles and Staff. I would recommend this place without reservation.

Friendly staff all around. Dr. Miles is very precise and clear on what to expect throughout the process. Front desk is also very professional and helpful. The office is beautiful. All this came together to make having two wisdom teeth extracted on the same day a rather painless experience.

I went to Dr. Miles for a tooth extraction. Excellent bedside manners, he patiently explained every step of the process (I'm a terribly nervous patient), which I very much appreciated. The staff were professional, courteous, and efficient. The office is fantastic as well, very clean, with a modern feel.

I had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Miles and was quite pleased. As with most oral surgery there was an initial consult before the procedure (including x-rays) and discussion concerning the procedures and options. I found Dr. Miles and the staff to be most proficient, caring and professional. Post-op instructions were provided and the staff called in the prescription to my pharmacy so it would be available when I arrived.

I recently saw Dr. Miles to have a cyst removed on my gum. I had read the lovely reviews on line prior to booking an appointment, and I agree with all of them. Dr. Miles was warm and caring, and performed surgery with very little discomfort on my part, keeping the atmosphere in the office calm and pleasant. His staff was also courteous and efficient. He actually saved my tooth. He also followed up on me with a phone call, and all is well at my end. I highly recommend you choose him should you need any type of gum surgery. A thankful patient, Monique-Marie

As another commenter here said - I guess people with great experiences aren't motivated to come on here to write a good review. So, I will add mine. I've had to have two dental implants some years apart and I coordinated my care between this office and my regular dentist. I've had nothing but great, stress-free experiences with Dr. Miles and Gelfman. Perhaps the folks with bad experiences didn't understand what they were told? I have no idea. The doctors and the staff are very explicit about their expectations, and instructions, and I never had any issues with the work that they did. They contacted my insurance company to make sure I received an estimate of the work they told me needed to be done so I knew what to expect, financial-wise.
