Dr. Calvin Kim attended the University of California at Berkeley as an undergraduate. After graduating with a B.A. in Molecular & Cell Biology, he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. where he received a degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 2001. Afterwards Dr. Calvin Kim went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the West Los Angeles VA Hospital, where he received extensive training in general dentistry, oral surgery and hospital dentistry as it relates to dental medicine. He has been an attending dentist at the UCLA Urgent Care Center and a chief resident at the West Los Angeles VA Hospital. Dr. Calvin Kim is passionate about using today's latest technology in dentistry, especially using CEREC to restore teeth with porcelain in 1 visit!
Dr. Sonia Kim attended the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. Afterwards, she received a D.M.D. degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2002. Dr. Sonia Kim is certified in Invisalign as well as in therapeutic Botox by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Dr. Sonia Kim is enthusiastic about Invisalign, which can straighten teeth without unsightly braces!

Even though i had a ton of tarter buildup from not going to the dentist in a looong time, i got an excellent cleaning and advice from dr Calvin Kim with no judgement and extremely minimal pain given how much tarter i had. The dental staff are very kind as well. Thank you.

I have been coming to Dr Kim for about 5 years now, and she is by far the best dentist I have ever had. Sonja replaced my old silver filing this time with a new porcelain cap that came out great. I had no pain, she has the latest equipment and everything went very well. I highly recommend her.

I went there today and I was just surprised by the level of cleanliness, professionalism, and the welcoming environment in there. I have been to 2 other offices in the last 3 weeks, and It's just crazy how incomparable they're with Dr. Kim's office. I unfortunately was paying out of pocket, so I just got some x-rays and consultation done, but I highly recommend this office. The staff was amazing too, I felt like I was going to a 5-star hotel compared to all the other offices I have been visiting. Also, Dr. kim provided a solution for my situation that no other Dr in town has provided before (They recommended extraction my tooth). If you're looking for a dentist in town, look no further, you just found the best one!

New patient on 1/11/21. Very impressed. Hygienist was outstanding, maybe best I had clean my teeth. Dentist Calvin Kim very professional, seemed to care about me as a patient and the well being of my teeth. Did not try to push anything other than twice yearly cleaning, a very good sign in one's dentist.

They are by far the best Dentistry's office in Santa Barbara. If you need anything to do with your teeth please go see Mr. and. Mrs Calvin and Sonia Kim in Goleta. Never have I ever worried about having my teeth worked on. Trust me LOVE THEM!!!

I came to Dr. Sonia Yim for an emergency for a very troubled tooth. In my 51 years, she was the gentle dentist I've ever come in contact with. She was thorough, provided a clear understanding of what my challenges are, but set a road map in motion for better clinical health! Simply the best!

Today Dr. Sonia Kim removed my last silver crown. I had this crown for more then 40 years and was extremely nervous what we find upon removing, the doctor was so gentle and patiently worked hard to remove. The tooth just needed a little work and a beautiful new crown. She and her assistant did a wonderful job. I am so happy to have no more silver fillings or silver crowns highly recommend the Kim doctors.

The office is very professionally run. Dr Kim explains what procedures are needed clearly. The technology is state of the art. They can make permanent crowns on the spot the same time as original appointment

A happy patient getting 3 major extractions! Dr. Sonia Kim is so gentle and caring. She made the whole experience easy and pain free! Only after 2.5 hours, the patient was able to eat and felt like he was back to normal. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Dr. Kim!
