Dr. David Jones is a 1984 graduate of The University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He then completed a Graduate Practice Residency Program at the Veterans Administrative Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky in 1985. He has served as a part-time Clinical Instructor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Prosthetics, and Restorative Dentistry at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry since 1987. He is currently involved in establishing an undergraduate Implant Program at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Jones has advanced training in the areas of Aesthetic, Reconstructive, and Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Jones has trained at the highly regarded Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. He has also trained and completed Continuum Levels I-VI and the Aesthetic Course at the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute. Dr. Jones currently hosts national seminars and lectures on topics of Comprehensive Treatment Planning, Aesthetic Dentistry, Complex Reconstruction, Implant Dentistry, and the Straumann ITI Implant System.
Each year, Dr. Jones gives back to others by providing mission-oriented work around the globe. Because many people do not have access to quality dental care, Dr. Jones visits their communities. He has visited countries like India, Russia, and Romania to offer dental support. He and his fellow volunteers, including some our own office staff members, visited Bangalore, India for two weeks to help their residents with basic and emergency dental care. Dr. Jones has also opened his office for local mission work in the community.
Dr. Jones is an active member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, L.D. Pankey Institute Society, The Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics, The American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, The American Society of Osseointegration, The American College of Oral Implantology, Louisville Dental Society, The Kentucky Dental Association, and The American Dental Association.
