Dr. Brian Van Slooten was born and raised in New Jersey. He attended Villanova University, where he studied biology and economics. Dr. Van Slooten received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he obtained honors in prosthodontics and finished third in the class his final year. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, receiving advanced training in periodontal, pediatric, implant, and cosmetic dentistry. Exhibiting the qualities of a lifelong learner, Dr. Van Slooten has earned more than 500 hours of continuing education since graduation.
After his residency, Dr. Van Slooten ran a dental practice with his father, Dr. Van Slooten, Sr. In the spring of 2014, Dr. Van Slooten and his family moved to Northern Virginia. Dr. Van Slooten performs all aspects of general dentistry, including implants, root canals, orthodontics, periodontics, and full-mouth cosmetic reconstruction. Dr. Van Slooten is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Northern Virginia Dental Society..
Dr. Van Slooten has participated in several mission trips to underprivileged areas in Teec Nos Pos, AZ, Johns Island, SC, the Australian Outback, and most recently Kingston, Jamaica. Recently, Dr. Van Slooten participated in ABCs 7 On Your Side- Ask The Dentist event, assists the Northern Virginia Dental Societys Community Outreach Committee, and is partnered with the Medical Care for Children Partnership (MCCP) by providing services to children in his Falls Church office who otherwise would not have access to dental care.
Dr. Van Slooten enjoys creating happy, healthy smiles and, by getting to know you, is able to customize dental care specifically towards your individual needs. His primary focus is on prevention and patient education. By applying advanced technology and simple techniques, future dental needs can be prevented and functional, aesthetic results are obtained.

Bonnie is a NOVA native and While she is an amazing Dental Assistant here a dental Health Center; She is aspiring to become a dental hygienist and is currently attending hygiene school at Northern Virginia Community College. In her spare time, Bonnie enjoys Photography and does photography for weddings in her spare time.
Flor started as a dental assistant 16 years ago with Dr. Lazour. Since then, Flor has received additional advanced training to learn expanded functions. Flor assists with all aspects of dentistry including dental implants and oral surgery. She is certified in Opalescence in-office whitening system as well as EZ White. Flor is lead team member of the Dental Health Center of Northern Virginia and has been with us since the beginning. She is hands on and enjoys helping anxious patients feel comfortable. When not assisting, Flor enjoys yoga and hiking.
Heather was born in New Hampshire but grew up in Virginia. She started as a dental assistant back in 2006 and graduated hygiene school in 2012. Outside of work, she is loving life raising two handsome boys.

Joseline has been in the dental field for more than ten years. She started as a dental assistant and is now the office manager at the Dental Health Center of Northern Virginia. Joseline is an insurance specialist and will be able to assist you with any questions about how to maximize your benefits. She considers our patients family and enjoys getting to everyone that comes into our office. In her free time, Joseline enjoys going on long walks with her dog Charlie, and interior decorating.
Juan started in the dental field as a dental assistant in 2008. He joined the Dental Health Center of Northern Virginia in 2017 as an administrative assistant while attending dental hygiene school. Juan graduated from hygiene school in 2018 and has been a great addition to our hygiene department. In his spare time, Juan enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and traveling with his wife and Australian Shepherd Beau.
Samantha is the newest member of the Dental Health Center of Northern Virginia. She recently moved to Alexandria from upstate New York. Sam has quickly fallen in love with the dental field and enjoys being a dental assistant. We are excited to have her as part of our family.
