All our professionals at Drs. Szakaly and Olson P.C. maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in oral surgery. All of our surgical assistants maintain up to date CPR & basic life support certification. Our Doctors maintain up to date advanced cardic life support (ACLS) certification.
Dr. Brian P. Szakaly was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2001 with a B.A. dual degree in pre-medicine and sociology. His D.D.S. degree was awarded in 2005 at Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he graduated with high honors. After obtaining his D.D.S. degree, Dr. Szakaly completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at VCU/MCV in Richmond, VA. He also obtained his board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in February 2011 and retains diplomat status. Dr. Szakaly also teaches part time at the Medical College of Virginia as an associate professor in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial.
Dr. Szakaly's memberships include theAmerican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,American Dental Association,American Academy of Dental Anesthesiology.Virginia Dental Association, and the theTidewater Dental Association. Dr. Szakaly is registered and licensed to practice as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He lives in Chesapeake, VA and enjoys playing guitar with his band, golfing, and watching numerous sports.
The surgical staff at our office are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in administration of I. V sedation, general anesthesia and surgery. All staff are CPR certified. All administrative staff are well-versed in health and insurance policies.
