My favorite thing about orthodontics: I get to see a complete life change in our patients. They walk in with smile that they are not sure of (some do not even smile) and are transformed into a person who cannot help but smile at the end of treatment because they are so proud of their stunning change. I get to see the self-esteem of our patients skyrocket when Dr. Kim finishes his work on them. How rewarding that is!
Best thing about my job: I love meeting new patients, creating fun programs for our patients, and most of all supporting Dr. Kims DREAM JOB! Its so rewarding to support your best friend with his dream. Being a middle school teacher, I love learning new things. Working at Dr. Kims office allows me to do just that. Going to conferences and meeting people at Dr. Kims office, I learn new things everyday. The more I learn, the more new and varied perspectives I see in my own life!
Best thing about working with Dr. Kim: He is so sincere and gives all in everything he does. Helping my best friend who studied and worked so hard to be where he is and continues to give his best in his dream job is pretty inspiring. He also was treated my teeth and made them perfect! Of courses both of my daughters have been getting their orthodontic works by Dr. Kim. He doesnt just work with his hand and mind but with his heart. He never settles for less than his best in his career, and he inspires me to do the same by being a living example. Dr. Kim ROCKS!
Native of: I lived in the San Fernando Valley since 1988, graduated from UC San Diego and UC Irvine for my masters degree in my young adult years, taught in the School of Advance Studies (SAS) program at Nobel middle school in Northridge and Rancho Pico Jr. High School in Westridge, and now I am teaching at West Ranch High School. What can I say I LOVE teaching mathematics!
When I am not at the office: I enjoy teaching H. Algebra 2/Trig and H. Pre-Calculus to my dedicated high school students at West Ranch High School in Westridge. I also enjoy creating fun math lesson for the UCLA Curtis Center for Mathematics and Teaching (former Assistant Director and currently Math Content Specialist) and leading teacher training/ professional development through the program. I absolutely spending time with my daughters, learning how to golf from Dr. Kim, hanging out at the bookstore with my family, cooking Iron Chef style (look through my refrigerator and create a dish with whatever ingredients that are available; its fun!), reading education related books, reading History of Math (ask Dr. Kim what he thinks about that), attend orthodontic conferences, eating out with my teacher friends (Yes, teachers do go out), of course solving some math problems for fun, and having friends and family over for dinner.

I've waited two years for this review!!! I absolutely love Dr. Kim's office and the exceptional service that I have received for over two years now. From the first consultation session to each follow up thereafter, my visits have been markedly exceptional many thanks to the staffs' energy, from the receptionist, to the assistants, and of course Dr. Kim. I am slated to have my braces removed after two more sessions and beyond excited for whats to come (I'll no longer have a buster smile, woooo!). Extremely saddened given I will no longer get to see everyone's wonderful faces. Would a hundred times over recommend you and your loved ones to support this local Orthodontist. Dr. K and his staff are 1 of 1. Wishing them continued success.

After 2.5 years of treatment with Dr. Kim, I can honestly and genuinely recommend him to all my family / friends both young and old. I started my braces in my twenties so was concerned how it would look- thankfully Dr. Kim's had a clear ceramic version (I know I'm not responsible enough for Invisalign which they also offer). As a first timer, Dr. Kim and his staff were really good about letting me know what was going on and answering all questions I had. He's really gentle, kind, and extremely detail oriented which are all the best qualities for a doctor to place yourself in care with. I recommended multiple family / friends to Dr Kim, and all have genuinely loved being in treatment with him including my 9 year old family friend (who has traditional metal braces) AND my almost 60 year old mom (Invisalign). Thank you!

This is by far the best orthodontist's office. The doctor is very knowledgeable and professional. Everyone is friendly and the staff goes out of their way the make their patient's experience a positive one!

Dr. Kim is amazing and very knowledgeable at explaining how the procedure will go. Cant wait for him to work on my kids teeth as well as mine. Oh and here is another 5 stars (* * * * *) because it should be a rating of 10 stars.

My son just got his braces off!! Kind, professional staff, Dr Kim is always busy but caring and patient with my son. He also has an office a couple days a week in Santa Clarita. They took my insurance, highly recommended by my son's dentist Dr Hirano at Kidz Dental Care. Dr Kim is always willing to schedule multiple appts to take off my son's wires for his cleanings. Patients can earn "Kim cash" for accomplishments, caring for their teeth, no cavities, etc for prizes. My son has been well cared for in Dr Kims office!! Great experience!!

While the "Care" in healthcare has deteriorated in many sectors of the industry, it's "alive and well" with Dr. Kim's team. We are quick to complain, yet slow to comment, hence we wanted to recognize and thank each and every team member for an "Outstanding" experience. There are three pillars to top patient care, communication, attitude, and knowledge. I had a excellent experience from the consultation all they way through of getting my braces off. Everyone at Dr. Kim's office is VERY professional and friendly. Dr. Kim takes his time with all his patients. He explained everything that was happening during my process which I really appreciated! Would definitely recommend his office to anyone and when the time comes my son will be getting his braces here!

I'm so glad that I attend Dr. Brian Kim Orthodontics. First of all, the doctor has a great educational background that is evident. He is also extremely gentle and explains every question and concern with great detail. He never rushes anything and takes his time doing the best job he can. All of the staff are so friendly and gentle. I never had any problem during the many years I was here. The price is also very reasonable and there are even ways you can win free prizes! But in all seriousness, I really recommend Dr. Brian Kim Orthodontics, as I already did to my friends and family, and you will not be disappointed!
