Dr. Brian Fangman has years of experience offering a wide range of surgical procedures from tooth extractions to advanced orthognathic (jaw) surgery. He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout their time in the office. Dr. Fangman is also fluent in Spanish, so if youre more comfortable discussing your treatment in Spanish, hell be happy to help.

Dr. Fangman achieved both his undergraduate degree and his doctorate from Ohio State University before going on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. Today, he has been working in this challenging and rewarding field for seven years so far. He enjoys all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a particular interest in dental implant surgery, wisdom tooth removal, treating facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, and cleft lip/palate surgery. He is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Colorado State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Metro Denver Dental Society, and the American Association of Dental Anesthesiology.
What Dr. Fangman enjoys most about his job is being able to make an uncomfortable situation pleasant and fulfilling for patients in need! Today, he and his wife Lilian have twin sons. In his spare time, the doctor enjoys cycling with his family. He is also fluent in Spanish and regularly volunteers both here in Denver and on mission trips to other countries in order to provide cleft lip and palate surgery to young patients in need.
Dr. Ivey enjoys all aspects of oral surgery but has particular interests in facial trauma, nutrition, and whole health approaches to surgery, bone grafting, and regenerative medicine within dentistry. He enjoys fly fishing, skiing, and college sports. You will often see him in the clinic wearing Jordan basketball shoes, which he says are great for standing long hours but we really know its for his college team.
Dr. Ivey grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. He attended undergraduate college and dental school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, becoming an avid UNC fan over the course of the decade, completing his doctorate of dental surgery. He later moved to Texas and attended Texas Tech for Medical School where he earned his MD. While in medical school, he worked full time as a general dentist in Lubbock, Texas (while simultaneously enrolled in medical school) for 2 years and values this insight into his peers and the field of dentistry.
After Medical School, Dr. Ivey completed a residency internship in General Surgery and Trauma at JPS Fort Worth and Baylor Hospital. This was a unique experience providing insight and knowledge into total health, medicine, and complex medical patients and issues as well as life-threatening injuries and disease. His anesthesiology training was completed at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
Returning to dentistry and oral surgery, Dr. Ivey attended Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and the Texas A&M College of Dentistry for OMFS training. Here, he trained in facial trauma, reconstructive jaw surgeries, TMJ, and the full scope of dental surgery. He is a published author in implant dentistry, and also served as an editor for an Internal Medicine textbook for medical students. In Denver, he is a member of the Colorado Dental Associate, Metro Denver Dental Society, the ADA, AAOMS, and the Colorado Association of Oral Surgery.

Dr. Fangman might be the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. I was referred to him by my primary and after spending about 2 minutes total with me, he told me that he "didn't have time to read" the medical history I provided outlining the previous care and diagnosis. It totaled 3-4 paragraphs of information. On the plus side his support staff was pleasant, but he could use some remedial training in patient support and caring. He clearly was too busy to care about helping people. I would move on to another doctor who has at least 5 minutes to listen and cares to try to help.

Dr. Fangman pulled a molar for me last week. I was sweating bullets walking into the office, they put me at ease, took an xray and pulled the tooth. I was inside of a half hour. Would go back for sure.

Came in to ER as a trauma patient and Dr. Fangman was on call. He did surgery on my jaw and never followed up with me at the hospital and I came in on Sunday and was there until Thur. Scheduled follow up apt. and still did not get the after care directions I needed. Left the apt. Still not realizing my upper jaw was fractured. No direction on aftercare. I was on several medications and did not think to ask the right questions. Seems there should be some standard info I should have received. Calls to office went unanswered. Wanted me to make another apt. For information I feel should have already been received. His office is a 50 minute drive for me.

We had a terrific experience with Dr. Fangman this morning. He extracted a tooth on my 11 year old son with Autism. He is fast, gentle and did a great job making him feel comfortable.

The team here is fantastic! They've got their skills down, and everyone is friendly and professional. I needed my wisdom teeth extracted, I'm self-pay, and the price was much lower and affordable than what I was expecting. If you need your wisdom teeth out, this is a solid place to go.

Excellent!! Absolutely Excellent! We have had both of our boys here for wisdom teeth extraction they literally were in and out in 30 minutes! Dr. Fangman and his staff are very professional, friendly and the best ever! We also had a referral from our orthodontist for a baby tooth removal and then a bond and expose a new tooth for our daughter - Dr. Fangman found this a little aggressive so he literally removed her baby tooth in all of 2 minutes, quick and easy and no pain and then said let's give the tooth time to come in. He will not do anything he feels is not necessary and based on what the patient needs, simple as possible!! Love that he cares and has a true heart for all of his patients and to make your experience the best ever!! Our 11 year daughter looked at him after he pulled the tooth and said - that's it, she literally didn't even know it came out. Love that his approach is let's make this simple & easy as possible! We will never go anyhwhere else! I highly recommend him! Our kids even tell all their friends about them because they are teens and most are ready for wisdom teeth extraction and this is because of the amazing experience they had! Thank you for making our visits the best ever for both mom and her kiddos!! And the staff are super friendly and get you right in!!!

Dr. Fangman was amazing! Put me right at ease and made my wisdom teeth extraction look easy. He was very reassuring and was able to start an IV on me which rarely ever happens with my veins! Will be back for future implant work!

I had 3/4 of my wisdom teeth pulled by various other dentists. Dr. Fangman pulled my last wisdom tooth. It was such a good experience in comparison, if you can call a tooth pulling a good experience. Today is post-op day 2 and I feel great! Anyone afraid of getting their wisdom teeth pulled can take comfort in Dr. Fangman as his bedside care is excellent, and he really knows what he is doing. Oh, and the staff was very nice too!

I highly highly highly recommend Dr. Fangman for any of your oral surgery needs. He took my wisdom teeth out back in October and it was an extremely easy experience from the procedure to the recovery period. I had an accident a few months later that left me with a jaw that was broken in 3 places and Dr. Fangman made me feel comfortable at a time when I was the most uncomfortable I think I've ever been. He fit me in for surgery the same day I saw him for a consult and has been incredibly encouraging through the recovery process as well. He knows what he's doing and is able to explain things in a way that make you feel comfortable and well taken care of. I'm very thankful to have him as my surgeon!

I cant say enuf good things about Dr Fangman my son was treated so good Dr Fangman and his staff are all so friendly they explain everything make you feel really comfortable my son was so comfortable and not scared his second procedure he declined anesthesia just got the numming. I have never been treated so well and felt so taken care of thank you Dr Fangman and your staff you are all amazing group.
