Dr. Semmel has done several procedures on me and my wife. Each time he and his staff have been extremely Professional, caring, and kind. They have answered every question with patience and sufficiency. Dr. Semmel even took some time and answered some random technical dentistry questions I had, which had nothing to do with my procedure. I highly recommend this office!!

I was sent to Dr. Semmel by Dr. John Ludwig in Leland (5 stars for him, too!) How fortunate! I needed oral surgery and his office got me in right away, and quickly put me at ease with their welcome. (I am a confirmed dentist-phobic!) Dr. Semmel is compassionate and informative, and his work is above par. The surgery itself was totally comfortable, and the recovery was a big nothing! I couldn't believe how good I felt after what he had to do. You are in good hands with him and his staff!

We went through two other dental/surgical offices and then we found Dr. Semmel AND his amazing staff! EVERYONE on staff cared about the success and comfort of our daughter. They professionally handled all aspects of her care. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Semmel and his practice for any oral surgery!

Let me say Dr. Semmel is great. Five years ago I had an extraction and implant and my insurance was totally handled by the office. Very stress-less for me. This time, however, when a young lady called to schedule my consultation the first thing she said was, "There's a $500 fee for a CT scan and you have to pay it. Insurance doesn't cover it." I asked how she knew this and did she verify with my insurance? She said "I can do that, but most insurance companies won't pay it. You have to pay it." Then I said "Maybe you should call my dentist to ask exactly what it is he wants done." She said "I can do that and call you back." I waited 3 days then called my dentist and was told "Yes, she did call us and said your appointment was canceled because you didn't want to pay the $500." I didn't realize the front desk could arbitrarily decide who gets to come through the front door or not. Maybe she realized I don't live in the Landfall area or that I had the nerve to ask where/why my money was going to. I called another oral surgeon and was told the CT scan is NOT a requirement and should NOT cost $500 ($300 is the norm). Apparently Dr. Semmel has no office manager so the only person I could complain to is their IT person. I doubt Dr. Semmel was informed about this because I feel sure he would have called me. Be your own advocate and don't accept what you're told because "Well, they must know what they're doing."

I got my wisdom teeth removed here, they didn't go over the things I should do after surgery until I woke up all doped up and then they just sent home a sheet that didn't give all the answers to my questions so I have called multiple times. They seem nice when ever I call.

Whatever you do don't go here. I made an appointment twice to have work done. The first time they said my appointment was a different day. I said ok that's not what I was told but maybe I made a mistake. So I scheduled another appointment for a different day and did so with my wife sitting right beside me. I get in this morning for my appointment and they said it was for an early time I would have to reschedule. Worst secretaries I've ever met. I will be taking my Business somewhere different.

Extremely clean, comfortable and tranquil atmosphere which is nice for anyone getting ready to undergo oral surgery! The wait time was next to nothing and the entire staff is very professional, kind and reassuring. I highly recommend this practice if you have to undergo oral surgery!

The staff is courteous and friendly, the atmosphere is serene and beautifully decorated, the procedure was fast and efficient - overall the entire process was smooth and easy. Dr Semmel is warm and friendly, as is his staff. I was also pleased that they offer the option of sedation. Who want's to be awake when teeth are being wrenched from your jaw? It costs a bit, but definitely worth it. Five stars!

Highly recommend. Friendly staff and nice environment. Clear written and verbal instructions given for post op care at consultation and at procedure. Nice care package given for home use. Could not have asked for a better experience.
