Dr. Bonnie Hiers, a third-generation dentist and owner of Dr. Bonnie Hiers, Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, has apassion for dentistry along with a genuine concern for people.She provides quality and comfortable dental services which lead to long-term, mutually satisfying professional relationships.
Dr. Hiers attended the University of Maryland, College Park from 1980 to 1984 with a concentration in the Biological sciences. She got her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UMAB College of Dental Surgery in Baltimore in 1988, wherein she graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top 3% of her class.
Dr. Hiers received the University Gold Medal and certificate of merit. As a full-time dentist since 1988, she frequently attends continuing education courses to stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies in dentistry.
Dr. Hiers has been in our Ellicott City office since 2008 and plans on staying here forever. She was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland and now resides in Howard County where she has raised two children of whom she is very proud.
Donna was raised in Potomac, MD and she has lived most of her life in Maryland.She has worked in the dental field since 2001 and has been an office manager since 2004. She is very knowledgeable regarding dental insurance plans and is also very responsive to patient's concerns regarding financial and scheduling issues. Donna makes the utmost effort to provide a calming, relaxed and comfortable environment for our patients.
She earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Howard Community College in May 2016.She graduated with honors and was a member and officer of the Students of the American Dental Hygienists' Association. She was awarded the Health Science Division Award for being an outstanding HCC student.
As a dental hygienist, she enjoys getting to know her patients individually so that she can perform high-quality dental care.To educate and treat our patients better, Brittany attends continuing education courses to stay abreast of the latest studies and techniques in dental hygiene.
She loves working with patients in the dental field. Monica is friendly, gentle and works well with Dr. Hiers to ensure a pleasant experience to our patients. She is very organized and meticulous with her work.

My entire dental experiences with Dr. Heirs and her staff are excellent. Appointments have been on time and managed well. I feel well informed and treated with the utmost respect and care. Highly Recommended!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hiers and her office. My daughter recently cracked off her front tooth a couple days before her Homecoming dance, and Dr. Hiers went out of her way to fix it. My daughters tooth looks beautiful! Dr. Hiers does great work. I always know me and my family are in good hands for our dental needs.

I have had the pleasure to have been a patient of Dr. Bonnie Hiers since 1988...and I say the "pleasure" because before that time I had some unpleasant experiences with other Dentists and Orthodontists. Bonnie Hiers is not just a Dentist---she is an "Artiste"! If you need a crown or a cap or a filling, you won't be able to tell the real from the replacement! These days it's hard to find a Doctor that you can really communicate with, and really get a feeling that you are not just another patient in a waiting room. Speaking of "waiting rooms"...that's never a problem at her office, and especially if you need emergency services for a root canal (I've had several) or any other situation, Dr. Hiers will get you in there right away and take care of it. After these 30+years, I consider Bonnie to be a friend as well, and she will make anyone who sees her and her staff feel that way as well, from the first appointment. Five Stars, absolutely! I have been going to Dr. Hiers for about 4 years for all of my dental needs. Dr. Hiers and her staff are 'top of the line' in everything they do. Whether it is scheduling an appointment, changing an appointment, providing basic dental cleaning or more involved dental work, Dr. Hiers is highly recommended. She and her staff are professional, friendly, very accommodating and just down right great people. I actually look forward to my dental appointments! That is how good she is! The best of the best!!

I have been going to Dr. Hiers now for about 9 years and there is no one else I would trust with my teeth! Dr. Hiers & Donna are two smiling faces you can be sure to always see at the office. Wonderful atmosphere, kind staff, never any waiting, and always responsive. You can tell everyone truly cares for the patients and love their job. Dr. Hiers is the best!

I needed a new dentist. It's easy to look up someone's education / skill set, read a handful of reviews, and figure out if you're going to a good dentist. All of that was the easy part. Dr. Hiers and her staff move beyond simple pedigree and the ability to be a great dental office. They work in comfort and ease and creating a comfortable place for the patient. Again, I knew she would be a wonderful dentist. But as someone who is stricken with MASSIVE dentist phobia, I was in great appreciation of how comfortable they made me an in how easy they are to work with. I'm in my 50s - and i've never had a dental experience.

I have been coming to Dr. Hiers for the last year and she, as well as her staff, have been nothing but kind and helpful. I recently had 2 veneers done on my front teeth, and the improvement in appearance and my confidence is incredible. They look so natural, no one can even tell they're not. Thank you Dr. Hiers!

I want to take a moment to thank Dr. Hiers for her skill and kindness in working with me through what was a very difficult procedure for me. I have recently been afflicted with a few minor ailments that have created difficulty for me to see a dentist. For example, do to vertigo, care must be given to my positioning in the dental chair and mouth sensitivities requires a gentle touch. These concerns only add to my normal level of anxiety. During this recent non-routine visit, Dr. Hiers went above and beyond my expectations to ensure that I was comfortable and prepared for my visit. Her knowledge of dentistry, the beautiful results she achieves and a genuine interest in her patient's lives makes her the best Dentist I have ever used. Dr. Hiers assistants and office staff are extremely knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Even though I moved out of state 5-years ago, I still travel back as often as needed to maintain my dental health. I highly recommend Dr. Bonnie Hiers for your dental needs.

Dr. Bonnie and her staff are very professional, and competent, as well as friendly and comforting at the same time... I've never been very relaxed in a dentist office and I know many people can relate. The staff go well out of their way to make sure you are completely at ease and relaxed... believe it or not I actually fell asleep during a procedure once, which was a first for me... I highly recommend Dr. Bonnie without hesitation. It is not too much to say her and her wonderful staff have completely changed the way I see the dental experience and greatly improved my dental health as a result.

My last visit here I had absolutely no balance. I even asked to make sure. I had a crown put in and paid the difference for that and now they send me a bill for 200+ dollars. Please seek dental services elsewhere, I would not recommend this place, they were doing unnecessary dental work just to bill my insurance.

She has been my dentist since she opened her practice. Her and the staff are the BEST! I only hope she never retires before I die. She has done many types of procedures on me and when I go to my periodontist, they always compliment the quality of her work.

Been a patient of hers for the last 5 years or so atleast. I saw her the first time as a new patient after an emergency where I had broken a tooth. Unfortunately it had to be removed by an oral surgeon. Which oddly enough we both knew the same oral surgeon. I found her chair side to be nothing but great.

Best dental experience I have ever had. I have awful anxiety but Dr. Hiers and her team had me at ease very quickly. Sandy whom works the front desk is incredibly accommodating and friendly. 10/10 recommend!!

My family and I have been coming to Dr. Hiers for many, many years. Her staff is always very friendly, kind, and helpful. You can tell that each person enjoys their work and helping patients. I will continue to tell everyone I know about Dr. Hiers and I thank her and her staff for always making every visit such a pleasant experience.

I believe this dentist is money hungry. Every time there is something else wrong. They told my husband our new insurance would be covered, yet we got a 200$ bill for a cleaning. If I could report her to the Maryland board of dentistry I would.
