Lisa is one of the hygienists at Dr. Bob's. She has been working with Dr. Bob since the office opened in August 2003. She is also the office manager and married to Dr. Bob. Lisa grew up in NW Ohio and attended Owens Community College where she earned her degree in Applied Science-Dental Hygiene in 1993. Before working with Dr. Bob, Lisa worked in both periodontal and general practices over the years. Having the experience of working as a hygienist and also in the administrative aspect of the office brings a good mix of skills and understanding to the management of the office. She strives to make it a fun place for both the patients and the employees. In her free time, Lisa enjoys traveling, DIY'ing, sewing, gardening and listening to music. She enjoys spending time with Dr. Bob and their two daughters.
Geovanna is one of our Dental Hygienist and has been with us for over three years. Geovanna grew up in New York City, but calls Maryland home. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2013 after receiving her degree from Baltimore City Community College. She has worked in general practice, taking care of people of all ages, but found working with children very rewarding, especially here with Dr. Bob. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time her husband, two children and their Rottweiler named Ian.
Esther has been an assistant at Dr. Bob's for seven years. She grew up in Tennessee and moved to New York in 1982. She graduated from Dutchess Community College in 1985 with an AAS degree in Dental Assisting. She attained her certification from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) in 1990 and has retained her CDA for the past 29 years. She enjoys baking, reading and spending time with her husband and two cats.

Dr. Bob and his staff are great with our nearly 3 year old daughter. She is happy to sit still, choose a pair of fun sunglasses to wear, and let him count and check her teeth. He has a way of interacting with kids that puts them at ease right away. His staff is kind and patient, and let her choose a toothbrush and stickers after the appointment. We've now been there twice and had great experiences both times. Highly recommend!

Okay people! GO TO THIS DENTIST! I have a child who is SUPER anxious about dental visits and we have tried tons of children dentists (5!). I pull out all the stops too--lego bribes come out, everything! Today we went to Dr. Bob for the first time and my child said "This is the best dentist ever!" during his cleaning. My child let his teeth be completely cleaned and polished for the first time EVER (he's 10!). Tonight when going to bed he said it was "an enjoyable experience" and wanted to go again tomorrow. I'm floored. If you have a child who struggles with the dentist this is the place for you. They have a special polisher so they don't have to use toothpaste which my child always hates the flavor of. And if you lean on the crunchy side, they were totally fine with me skipping the floride. Our experience was amazing! Dr. Bob rocks!

We were so pleased with our first visit to Dr. Bob Testen's practice. The staff was friendly, and the waiting room was gorgeous (really nice artwork) and fun for my daughter, as there were video games and a fish tank to keep her occupied. Dr. Bob was a great pediatric dentist and gave an honest assessment of my daughter's dental needs, which I really appreciated as a parent. Rather than trying to get more money out of us by going along with our family dentist's recommendation that our daughter needed a filling on her baby teeth, he did his own evaluation and determined there was no need for a filling at all, as there were no cavities. This showed how much experience he has and also that he is knowledgeable when treating little kids. We are now considering switching over completely from our previous dentist to Dr. Bob's practice, as our experience was so positive. Thank you Dr. Bob and staff!

My son is turning 17 and worried that he will have to change dentists soon because Dr Bob is the ONLY dentist he has ever seen! He feels safe and comfortable with Dr Bob. He is awesome..

We had been at another practice for 4.5 years (also highly rated), I found myself questioning the diagnosis, treatment plans and costs. Not to mention that we seen a different dentist every time we went in. It was at my 6yr old daughter's last appointment where I was told she had cavities on 2 separate teeth that needed to be drilled/filled immediately, and a baby tooth removed at the Oral surgeon. After the Oral surgery, she would have to return for another appointment for a spacer to be placed. So in total 4 appointments, with a cost of over $1800 with insurance. When she had gotten "no cavities" sticker at every appointment since 2019! I immediately called Dr Bob's office(as we had a wonderful experience with our special needs son a few months prior). They were able to get us in the very next day for a Consultation/Second opinion. Needless to say, she doesn't need to have Oral surgery to remove a baby tooth, and the "cavities" that needed an immediate appointment (with her under sedation)were not there. The kids love Dr.Bob, and I have 100% full confidence that his patients are his first and most important priority. You can tell he got into this profession because he truly enjoys it.

This rating is based on my billing experience with this office. If you decide to make an appointment with this office, please be aware that they are NOT transparent on the participation status with your insurance carrier. You are made aware that they take your insurance, which is different than participating. At no point in time, from making the appointment to checking in was this mentioned. So, I get an invoice that I was not prepared to receive. To be clear- I don't have a problem paying out of pocket, as long as I have been given informed consent. Speaking with the office manager did not get anywhere. She was defensive and did not take any accountability. She pretty much said it's the patient's responsibility to figure things out. It's unfortunate because the dental hygienist and Dr. Testen are great. But, this billing experience is terrible customer service.

Dr Bob is AMAZING!! Baby's first visit to the dentist and we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. He was able to remain professional yet make you feel so comfortable it was like we had been visiting him forever! Will definitely be our kids dentist from now on!

Dr. Bob has been pretty much our favorite human since my kids' first appointments as toddlers. We have the utmost confidence in his care, and more than ten years later my kids still can't wait to visit for the humor and good nature of Dr. Bob and the entire staff. We live much further away now but wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
