Dr. Blaine Langberg trained at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry. He values continuing education, is a Board Certified Orthodontist and keeps up-to-date on the latest technological advances in orthodontics.
No. All orthodontists must be licensed to practice, however board certification is a voluntary achievement that all orthodontists do not choose to pursue. In order to become board certified by the ABO, an individual orthodontist is thoroughly interviewed by a highly respected panel of examiners to demonstrate their orthodontic knowledge, clinical skills and judgment. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification process signifies a unique achievementa significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics. The process requires the orthodontist to demonstrate actual accomplishments in patient care with detailed case reports on the treatment provided for a broad range of patient problems.
One. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) is the only certifying board in the specialty that is recognized by the American Dental Association. The ABO was founded in 1929 and is the oldest specialty board in dentistry. The boards purpose is to elevate the quality of orthodontic care for the public by promoting excellence through certification, education and professional collaboration.
Successful completion of the examination process demonstrates the orthodontists highest commitment to excellence in orthodontics to both the orthodontic profession and the general public. It represents a commitment by a licensed specialist that he/she has the necessary knowledge base and skills to treat patients to the highest of standards. It exemplifies a practitioners commitment to continue to keep abreast of the latest advances in patient care, and to continue to deliver these latest advances to patients. Many orthodontists see it as a demonstration of their dedication to the specialty and the highest level of personal achievement.
Since the establishment of the ABO in 1929, the certification process requirements have continued to adjust to the demands of the specialty. Today, the process involves a thorough Written Examination (240 questions) covering all areas of information which an orthodontist should be knowledgeable. Successful completion of this board exam allows the orthodontist to proceed to the Clinical Examination where they present detailed case reports from their practice/residency, demonstrating a history of excellence in patient care. These cases are evaluated by a panel of examiners and later discussed during an oral examination where the applicant is tested on a wide variety of academic and clinical topics. After successful completion of these examinations, the orthodontist has officially achieved Board Certification, for a time-limited period. The orthodontist must go through Certification Renewal every 10 years to maintain their certification status by demonstrating this continued level of patient care.
Dr. Blaine Langberg trained at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry. Dr. Langberg was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and graduated cum laude. He remained at Harvard to complete his Master of Medical Science and specialty training in Orthodontics. During his seven years of training at Harvard, Dr. Langberg conducted clinical research in orthodontics and published four papers in orthodontic journals.
His undergraduate degree was obtained at Union College in Schenectady, New York where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Langberg values continuing education, is a Board Certified Orthodontist and keeps up-to-date on the latest technological advances in orthodontics.
Dr. Langberg is a member of the faculty at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He travels to Boston regularly to teach the residents there about practice management and treatment of patients. Dr. Langberg is also a member of the Attending Faculty at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he helps the pediatric dental residents treat early intervention cases at the clinic. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics, and the Greater Danbury Dental Society.
Raised in Yorktown Heights, New York, Dr. Langberg currently lives in Ridgefield with his wife, Rachel and their three daughters. Dr. Langberg and his wife moved to Ridgefield so he could open his practice in a community that is close to their families. In addition to spending time with his family, Dr. Langberg enjoys writing novels and movie screenplays, also running, and rooting for the Yankees and N.Y. Giants!
Working as the treatment coordinator at Dr. Langberg 's office is truly a blessing.' When she 's not in the office, Trish enjoys spending time with her 3 adult daughters and future son-in-law and walking her 2 adorable dogs!
For over 10 years, I've loved assisting Dr. Langberg while he creates beautiful smiles every day! Helping our patients with their orthodontic care is truly a joy for me. Outside of work, Gina cooks and spends time with her family, friends and fianc Chris.

I've not been blessed to have Dr. Langberg as my dentist since I live in Prescott, AZ, but I have had the wonderful honor of reading his book "Journey of a JuBu" and loved his characters, the brilliance of his journey, and the comedic effect it had on me. We are grateful for landing at Dr. Blaine Langberg Orthodontist. Ortho is a big expense and commitment for many families and the office of Dr. BL got us through this experience with smooth sailing. Knowledgeable and kind staff, efficient and clean office. Oh and our daughter's teeth are gorgeous!!!

Dr. Blaine Langberg Orthodontics is the best. We checked out a few places when our daughter needed braces and are so glad we found Dr. Langberg. He is great with explaining the process and is a master at his craft. The staff there is amazing and they are all very receptive to any question or concern you might have with a loose wire or missing rubber band. Their facility is state of the art, very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Dr. Langberg was professional, courteous, and most of all FUN! His staff was kind and extremely attentive. We were very impressed with his innovative office environment and the use of the latest in dental tech and software. I feel like my daughter will get great care :)

Cute place, but I've had 2 terrible experiences, both in front desk. They work there and I know it is not for free. I never write reviews, but this time they earned it. It is so disappointing to call and confirm the appointment, confirmed it, and then come the appointment date, and be told that the appointment was canceled, telling me in my face that I canceled the appointment. When I have in my phone confirmation. And they just ask, you want to re schedule??? She said that she can not force No one inside to attend my kid. Really? Who wants to come to this place??? One star is too much for them, looks like someone plan to leave the office early and just cancel last minute my appointment after 40 min of driving!!!

Fantastic practice from the front desk, to the orthodontic assistants, to Dr. Langberg himself. I had two kids go through orthodontic treatment there and I never had a bad experience. Transparent pricing, always responsive, great communication, and well run front office. Highly recommend.

hello! i have been a client with doctor Langberg for six years now, and he is the BEST!! Such a happy-go-lucky man who always has a smile on his face. The staff as well are fantastic, super patient, friendly, professional, and genuinely an amazing practice overall. I would recommend doctor Langberg to anyone researching near-by orthodontists! I had the pleasure of coming to the office two weeks ago for a yearly check-up, where I noticed multiple copies of "Journey of A JuBu" written by... you guessed it! Doctor Langberg! I'm currently a quarter way through the book and CANNOT put it down!! Doctor Langberg surprises me in many ways, one being how articulate he is with his writing skills. If you are looking for a reliable, friendly, down to earth orthodontist, Doctor Langberg is your guy! I have also included a picture of "Journey of A JuBu" I recommend all to read !
