Dr. Massey is a 1992 graduate of the University of South Carolina and a 2010 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina earning him the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, he was selected for a distinguished residency at the University of Florida in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. This unique opportunity provided him with advanced training in implant dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery. He also completed two highly respected professional courses in general dentistry at the Dawson Academy and the Pankey Institute.
Before settling in Charlotte, Dr. Massey had worked in Charleston and coastal South Carolina. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Charlotte Dental Society, the Christian Medical & Dental Associations and the Academy of General Dentistry. He became a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists following completion of rigorous implant training.
With his experience, Dr. Massey provides his patients with skilled, comprehensive dental care. His commitment to ongoing professional development relative to the latest advances in dental medicine positions him to provide his patients only the finest of care.
Dr. Massey has traveled to Ecuador and Haiti on short term dental mission trips to serve individuals with limited access to dental care. Serving a need closer to home, he participates in Dental Access Days (DAD), Give Kids a Smile projects and free dental days. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Massey worked 8 years at Accenture in uptown Charlotte.

I was referred here by a friend after having a terrible experience at an uptown dental office called 'Pearl'. Every part of my experience at Dr. Massey's office was fantastic, from the call to set up an appointment to the end of the appointment. My hygienist was very personable & explained throughout the process what she was doing and why. Dr. Massey is also very personable and professional. Would recommend this dental office to anyone!

We have been a patient of Dr. Lawing for a few decades. He is truly a gentleman and a gentle tooth doctor. He and his staff are just terrific and caring at every step of the way. Love this man dearly. Highly recommend!! Would go to no other! Love Dr Massey as well. Very thorough and takes time to explain everything in detail. Love it!

Dr. Massey is an amazing dentist. I basically had him restore my smile. He filled multiple cavities and did a root canal. I was terrified to have a root canal because of everything i heard. Dr . Massey made the proceedure pain less . He is a very kind compassionate dentist. After my positive experience I take my children there now. His staff are wonderful and kind. I feel blessed to have him for my dentist.

Honestly of all the places I have been to this has to be one of the best ones to get your teeth cleaned. My hygienist Margee went out of her way to make me comfortable so Id feel as little pain as possible. I had a very pleasant experience and I'd definitely recommend.

Maybe it's just me but when someone schedules an appointment, my expectation is that it starts on time. Not so at this office. I went in for a routine cleaning and waited 25 minutes past my scheduled time. I even went to the front desk to indeed verify my time was correct. No apology or explanation given. I also had a crown done here and while that went fine it was sort of a joke during the process; had a wrong tool, couldn't get the adhesive mixed right, etc. Kind of a show all while I am sitting there with my mouth wide open. You like updated technology? Forget about it here. It's like walking into a 1980's dentist office. I'll give them that most of the people are friendly and nice but service and high professionalism is not their strong suit. I won't be back.
