Correction to Dr Jacobs office reply: They obviously didn't read my review, so I'll net it out: Dr Jacobs said findings were 1 dead tooth and 1 cracked tooth. Later finding out later it was not a dead tooth. His recommendation: 2 extractions and inplants. Their attempt to degrade me with their response below has nothing to do w my review and how they kept the total cost hidden until it would have been too late. There's a 3 month window after the first part of the procedure then you go back for the 2nd part, this is what they didn't include in the quote and would have doubled the cost. I specifically went line by line, 3x, then a 4th when I went back for the one tooth. If I followed Dr Jacobs unnecessary recommendations, I would have went through a much more invasive, extensive and expensive procedure. In addition, to losing my real teeth. Very sneaky and unethical. An honest doctor showed me the top of the one infected root and how the other 2 were healthy and fine. Not the dead tooth Jabobs described, How unethical and selfish, so you can profit and who cares about the patient. Then you respond with unrelated more manipulative comments. --------- Dr Jacob said the one tooth was cracked and would need to be extracted w inplant. He pointed out a 2nd tooth he said was more infected, his words, a dead tooth. After the second opinion to Jacobs, was told it's not a dead tooth but a failed root canal. Making it sound much worse then it was, As I'm walking out, he said you could try an endodontist before deciding on the extraction as maybe they could save it. I did get a root canal and it did fix the supposed cracked tooth but by that time the other tooth was badly infected and painful. THis is during covid and so I figured it would be best to just return to Dr Jacobs as I was going to proceed w the inplant based on the quote I was told was the entire cost. Even going over it 3 or 4x. Dr Jacobs wasn't available so i went to another doctor in his practice who basically repeated the same thing. When the they updated the quote for just one tooth, that's when I found out they only quoted me for the first half of the inplant procedures and that it was actually going to be more then double. That comes to about $6k total for everything for one tooth. My insurance covered 50% of some but that's not the point. They were asked 3X if this was the total cost, and they said yes, thus finding out after that it was only for the first half. I would be billed after about another $2k when I returned 3 months later to complete the inplant. There would have had me in a rock and hard place leaving me no choice but let him finish the job and pay the extra $2k they didn't inform me of upfront. Plus If I listened to him and proceeded with his recommendations, I would have lost 2 of my teeth, went with unnecessary inplants, a much more invasive procedure and recovery, when I didn't need any of this, and it was clearly visible on the scans. He's either inexperienced or unethical, bottom line recommending more extensive and expensive unnecessary procedures. Luckily I found an honest doctor afterwards who informed me that I only had one bad/infected root, not all three or the dead tooth, Jabobs description. I got a root amputation, Much less invasive, faster recovery, less office visits and 1/4 of the price. When I caught their deceitful attempt on hiding the 2nd half of the procedure costs, I expressed my disgust and that I would not have gone back to them if I had the true costs and quote. I asked they escalate to remove any additional charges for that day, as it wouldn't have existed if I was not lied to. They continued to charge me for that last visit and refuse to remove it, sending in to collections agency. I don't know how he has so many good reviews, based on the dishonest manipulative practices I experienced, I question the validity of the good reviews.

I can't even put into words how thankful I am for Dr. Jacobs. I came to Dr. Jacobs after having work done by another doctor. Dr. Jacobs was able to remove a failed implant that was placed by the other doctor, remove an additional two teeth and successfully place three implants (three!!!) Dr. Jacobs and his staff walked me through the entire process and were so patient with me the entire time - Dr. Jacobs even called to make sure I was healing properly. After finding Dr. Jacobs, I will never look for another oral surgeon - he is truly one of a kind! I receive so many compliments and have to credit it all to him. Thank you again Dr. Jacobs and staff for everything!!!

Our son had his wisdom teeth removed in February of this year. We paid $4800 for this procedure, have very good insurance, and did not receive payment from the office until late July. It took great effort, multiple phone calls, and more than 5 months to receive a reimbursement. The Dr. did a thorough job; however, one must be prepared to pay upfront and wait a long time to get anything back.

I recently had an abscessed tooth pulled by Dr. Jacobs (no relation). The procedure went smoothly. I was very impressed with his skill, demeanor and the overall care provided by staff. As someone who works for a large medical group, I was also pleased with the safety protocols they have in place. I highly recommend Dr. Jacobs and the Florham Park office.

Do not ever bring a child to this practice. The doctor was rude, disrespectful and dismissive and told us to leave if we didn't like his style of isolating a scared child from the parent. Never had a problem with any docs before and am amazed at this one's behavior. Sad.

Dr. Jacobs is one of a kind! My 7 year old daughter needed to have a baby tooth extracted that was attached to the bone In her mouth and I was a nervous wreck. Not only is this during a pandemic, but she also does not separate well from me. Dr. Jacobs was so kind, patient and gentle. He talked both of us through the entire (quick) procedure and put us both at ease. The staff were extremely pleasant and did a great job distracting my daughter from the work being done. I highly recommend Dr. Jacobs and plan to use him for all future dental work.

Stay away. They will charge you $75 PPE fee without telling you in advance!! And they overcharged me at the day of service based on their "good estimate".

Dr. Benjamin Jacobs is the best! I was referred by a family member and couldn't be more thankful. I was considered "high risk" because my wisdom teeth was so close to the nerve. Not only did the surgery run smoothly it was also painless. Today is the 3rd day post removal and still no visible swelling. Also, a big thank you to his assistant, Kelly, for the detailed instructions on the after care. Very professional and friendly staff members. Thank you!

Dr Jacobs is the best! I was so nervous to take my son for an appointment during this pandemic, but the office staff and Dr Jacobs handled everything wonderfully. They ensured us that among other precautions, everyone would be in proper PPE & all surfaces routinely disinfected. Both my son & I felt very safe and well protected. Dr Jacobs put my nerves at ease and even more importantly, kept my anxious son calm. I'm repeatedly impressed by Dr Jacobs' bedside manner and expertise, particularly during this time.
