Dr. McFarland was raised in Bourbon County where he graduated in 1979. He went to Eastern Ky University and majored in Chemistry. He then applied to medical and dental schools at the University of Louisville and University of Kentucky. He chose Dental school at UK where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 1987. In his last year at UK he invented and patented a protective sleeve needle to reduce the chance of accidental sticks for patients, staff and clean up crews. The needle is in several of the most prestigious practices in the United States, foreign countries and now being tested in the US military for use. We use the needle here fort he protection of our patients and staff. Dr. Bart is the only CEREC trainer in Kentucky for the company Patterson Dental. He is also a trainer for the company GALILEOS which is a cat scan that is used to place implants. Besides being named trainer for the state in these technologies he has also received a masters from the International Congress of Oral Conscious Sedation. After graduating Dr. McFarland opened a private practice in Paris. He married Pam Plummer, also a Paris native, in 1992. She is a Dental Hygienist and currently works in Winchester Ky. They have one son, Houston, who was born in January 1998 and a daughter, Hagan, born in February 2003.

Over the years, Dr. Bart have done several intense procedures on my teeth. He has always been patient with me and my concerns. He is very talented and smart in his profession. We are very lucky to have him as a local dentist.

Dr. Bart and his staff are so amazingLy friendly and so helpful. Dr.Bart is the best dentist that I have ever gone to. I know this because he has done all thes these procedures on me for at least 20+ years. He is so knowledgeable in his dentist field and is so qualified to do crowns, root canals, implants as well as any other regular dental work. I especially love that I don't have to travel to another dentist that specializes in these , like before. Love My Dr. Bart and if you are looking for the best, then its should be DR. Bart Macfarland!!!!

I had to have a lot of dental work done...multiple fillings, root canal, crowns....All I can say is Dr. Bart is the best. I'm terrified of seeing a dentist from a really bad past experience. But this man works miracles. I never felt a thing. Him and his staff are wonderful and I will never go anywhere else.

I have been going to Dr. Bart McFarland for years. His work is excellent. My mouth is something l take pride in, and Bart makes sure it stays in excellent health. No long waits, staff is courteous and professional. Never disappointed.

Had a 2 hour appointment and we were able to seat my permanent bridge, remove and replace a broken crown, fill several cavities, and do an extraction ... that's a lot of work for a short window of time but Dr.Bart and his associate got it done and maintained a good doctor patient relationship making sure I was ok and nothing was hurting me and when some of the lidocaine did ware off he made sure to stop what he was doing and inject more to keep me comfortable . I would recommend this office to everyone looking for great work !

I've been going to Dr Bart for years now and he's the best! From the front office check in to the lady you pay everyone is so professional. I have extensive teeth problems due to medical issues and he never makes me feel embarrassed to be there even when I have another broken tooth! I highly recommend. I drive from Lexington to Paris just to see him.
