Dr. Barry Portnoy graduated from U Mass/Boston's first graduating class in 1969 with a BA in Chemistry. He worked for Dr James C Melby, the head of the the Department of Endocrinology Boston University Medical Center as a research assistant from 1969 - 1972. He graduated from the first 3 year dental program at Tufts Dental School in 1975. After completing a General Practice Residency Program at Peninsula General Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY , he opened his dental practice in Westborough in December of 1976.

I can't say enough great things about this office Catherine at the front desk is absolutely the kindest and compassionate person . I've been afraid of dentistry my whole life until I came here . Dr portnoy is also extremely talented and knowledgeable and also genuinely kind and you can tell he loves his patients and loves his work helping people .I had not been to the dentist in a while and they were all so kind snd no judgment at all . I had to share this as it's such a positive experience when I go to the dentist now ! Thank you very much !
