Dr. Avila completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Food Science & Human Nutrition and Zoology. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 2002. After receiving his doctorate, Dr. Avila decided to pursue a Masters degree in Public Health at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
With his passion to help others, he continues to do local volunteer and charity events. His interest in orthodontics returned him to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, for two years of specialty training and a Certificate in Orthodontics.
After obtaining his Certificate in Orthodontics, he perfected and increased his orthodontic skills by working for two of the most respected offices in the Washington D.C. area before purchasing his own practice. Dr. Avila worked for the nations leading provider of Invisalign for three years and has mastered how to do orthodontics in the most cosmetic and least intrusive ways possible.

Highly recommend Dr. Avila and his team, expert care with the friendliest technicians. The whole vibe of the office is wonderful. My teeth have shifted with very little discomfort and although I required a plan adjustment it is going marvelously. Dr. Avila also referred me to a fantastic new dental practice that has also been really great to work with. Thank you!

Love this office and its staff. Everyone just seems like they love their job. Dr Avila is fun and great with kids. I love that they take Tricare dental insurance. If you're a military family in need of braces and dental care, Sublime Smiles is the place to go.

Sublime Smiles has been amazing so far! Being a really self conscious new adult patient can be challenging. The whole staff has been nothing but welcoming, accommodating, technically proficient and a joy to work with. The environment is relaxing and "real" but efficient it really makes the whole process easier on my schedule and anxiety. It's been great so far and definitely don't see that changing!
