San Jose dentist Dr. Ashmita Shetty has an aesthetically oriented dental practice. She has been practicing family and aesthetic dentistry in California after passing her California Dental Board Examinations in 1999. Dr. Shetty was born in Manipal, India and raised in Muscat, Oman. She completed her undergraduate studies and earned her Bachelors degree at the College Of Dental Surgery, Manipal in 1994.
She has more than 13 years of experience in a wide range of dental procedures having practiced with leading general and cosmetic dentists here locally in the bay area and around the world. Over the years, she has spent hundreds of hours in seminars, study clubs, and other continuing education courses in order to stay current on advances in the field.
Dr. Shetty has been known for her meticulous attention to detail and her light and gentle touch. She has cared for individuals of all ages from a childs initial visit to an adults complex mouth restorative care. She especially enjoys interacting and treating children; kids have a special place in her heart and she has spent numerous hours volunteering her services at the Santa Clara County Childrens Dental Health Initiative Program.
Dr. Shetty lives in San Jose with her husband and eight-year-old son. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, sculpting, and hiking. She values spending time with her large and closely knit family here and abroad, and involves herself in many community events.
Berryessa Dental Spa is truly unique. Here, we care and pay attention to not just your dental and oral care needs but also your overall health and wellbeing. We have tried to accomplish this by setting up our practice in a calm, spa-like atmosphere where your senses will be tingled to tranquility at the sight and sounds of waterfalls, warm aromatherapy pillows, and most of all, our exquisite interior design and decor.

I recommend Dr. Ashmita Shetty. She has steady hands and all my cleaning visits have been the least painful possible! She is good with deep tooth fillings too.

Really wanted to support women pros and contacted the office through my insurance company website. I gave them all the info, but the office folks were clueless and rude! They texted me so many times to confirm my appt. but couldn't even get the paper work done. The day before the appt. he called and insisted I didn't have insurance when I had great insurance coverage. Poor customer service skills. You lost my business!

Dr. Shetty is simply the best! I have been her patient for over a decade. Her and her office staff are always exceptionally kind and thorough. During Covid they take extra precaution to make sure their patients are safe and comfortable.

I love, love, love Dr. Shetty and her staff, Steve & YaYa! I chipped my front tooth, and was a bit apprehensive about going because of Covid, but the precautions that they have set in place, made me feel safe! I would highly recommend Berryessa Dental Spa!!!

Dr Sherry is so nice and she takes the time to explain the process, answer questions and go over home care techniques. The front desk persons are so helpful and friendly. I am new to the area and so happy to have found this practice for myself and my daughter.

So glad I found this through my insurance's website! They were able to give me an appointment on the same day I called. They had verified my insurance by the time I got to the office and were extremely friendly!

It's always a pleasant experience visiting their office. Both Steve and Dr. Ashmita are so kind and resourceful as well as the assistants working there. My coworker recommended Dr Ashmita and I have to say, I'm very pleased! Dentist offices do seem scary and I think what worries us more is insurance but I assure you, they will give you any information you need to make things less complicated and they definitely make sure your oral health is well taken care of. I had a fill today and I was a bit anxious since I had never been to a dentist before but I can reassure you, they will make your experience soothing. Just make an appointment already..you won't regret it!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shetty since before 2007. Over 12 years. She is simply the best! She truly cares about her patients. Excellent and pain free. And I have the smile to prove it. My wife, four children, and a grandchild, all taken care of in the best way. Including insurance and payments. I would give 100 stars if possible.
