Dr. Sonneborn was born in Wheeling, West Virginia and was raised in the Western Pennsylvania area south of Pittsburgh. He received his Bachelors degree in Chemistry fromWest Virginia University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree also fromWest Virginia Universityin 1985. He received his Masters degree in Orthodontics from theUniversity of Michiganin 1987.

My name is Connie Richardson. I was born and raised in Jackson. I come from a family of 12 children. I have been with Dr. Sonneborn for 33 years and thoroughly enjoy working for him. I retired from the clinic in 2017 and was filling in when needed. A part-time position in the lab became available and I was more than thrilled for the opportunity to make appliances. My husband Mike and I have been married 48 years and I have 3 wonderful daughters and 8 beautiful grandchildren who are the light of my life. All about the money! That's what ultimately matters to Dr. Sonneborn. I would never take another child there or recommend them to anyone. Couldn't care less about the well being of his patients. My family went thru some VERY serious trauma in our personal lives. Needed to regroup financially as a suddenly single mom of 5. Asked for a meeting to create a new financial plan. Refused to meet, refused to continue treatment. Literally would not have a conversation after he pulled a tooth out that didn't really need to be pulled...that caused my son embarrassment and humiliation. I was devastated. A friend had the same experience after being laid off and losing insurance. They found Hersh & Beattie Orthodontics an hour away. Told me how wonderful they were. I followed that lead, met with them, told them our situation. They care. They love their patients. They love beautiful smiles. They care about children's confidence. They understand difficulties. They took us on and worked with our circumstances. They removed the old braces, created a new plan, and started us over. We paid a fresh $5,000 in full on a plan we could handle. Yesterday my son had his braces removed and finally has a BEAUTIFUL smile!! I am one happy mama! Find an orthodontist that cares about more than $$$$$!!! ***You mention in your response that you care. That's clearly false when you refuse to even talk to a parent that's paying you thousands of $$$. You also mentioned that you don't pull teeth. Clearly we all know this, however, you do order teeth pulling which we have records of. Can't respond further so here is the followup and response.

We love this orthodontist office! Over the past 5 years, our entire family (mom, dad, and 2 daughters) has gotten braces and have been extremely satisfied with the quality work and customer service. They have always worked hard to accommodate our schedule, getting us in on late notice for fixes at times, and are very friendly and focused on creating a positive customer experience all-around. I have recommended this office to several friends already in need of orthodontics. Our smiles look great and we know we can contact them in the future if needed. Thank you Sonneborn staff!

Really good environment to be in when you're getting your teeth worked on lol. Everyone is so friendly and easy to talk to. I would recommend Sonneborn Orthodontics to a friend for sure. My sister and I really enjoy our time while we're there !

Very very nice put-together people especially the ladies. Simple but straight forward breakdown. I'm extra excited to get my teeth fixed and mine are among the worst as far as snaggletooth goes so it'll be interesting to see how well they do.

I'm only 4months into treatment, but I absolutely love them. Everyone in the office is personable & professional. I was extremely nervous & a little insecure starting treatment at 30years old. They explain everything along your journey & make you feel comfortable though. Great environment.

Dr. Sonneborn and his team are fantastic! They were very patient and accommodating for my child who has autism and was not easy to put braces on and take through the process. They were very flexible and a pleasure to do business with. The end result is beautifully straight teeth and a happy smile!

I am immensly grateful for everything Sonneborn has done to help me in the past couple of years. I had braces for around a year, got a bonding from my dentist and then the dentist shaved off some of the mamelons. While he did this he also shaved my teeth significantly down making my teeth look completely different. I went back to Sonneborn, and they were able to help me find a solution to get my teeth back where they were before. All of the ladies at the office are so kind and helpful, and Dr. Sonneborn is truly excellent at what he does.
