Dr. J. Art Mirelez, Jr. maintains one of the most successful private dental practices in Fresno. A local boy, born in Fresno, and raised in the nearby small rural town of Caruthers, he attended and graduated from Caruthers High School. After graduation, he attended Fresno State University and received a Bachelors degree in Chemistry with Honors. Dr. Mirelez received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry in 2002. Upon completion of dental school, he was selected for a General Practice Residency Program at Fresnos University Medical Center, where he treated medically compromised patients under general anesthesia. Dr. Mirelez then went on to work for Healthy Smiles Mobile Dental Foundation, a local non-profit childrens dental organization.

Dr. Mirelez later attended the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute Program and after completion, acquired his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, one of the highest international designations for skill in the surgery and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Mirelez earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) at the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2011 after completing over 500 hours of dental education after dental school. Today, Dr. Mirelez has over 2,000 hours of continuing dental education completed and all his patients rest assured that only excellent and scientifically proven dentistry is provided.

Dr. Mirelez has 2 passions in life; dentistry and family. Dr. Mirelezs blessed life starts and ends with 5 beautiful girls. The first being his high school sweetheart and now wife, Helena, who cares for their 4 amazing daughters Mia, Ava, Ella & Sophia. His daughters keep him busy with softball & soccer coaching, swim, volleyball and gymnastics. Crossfit, running and participating in community recreational sports keeps Dr. Mirelez in shape. Dr. Mirelez is also a motivational speaker for local schools and Universities. He hopes to encourage as many people as possible to pursue careers in the health profession and even allows students intern at his office.

Dr. Mirelez travels internationally in search of safe and advanced implant techniques, one of which is the Ickert Dental Centre of Canada. Dr. Mirelez is a graduate (1 of 300 worldwide) of the prestigious Kois Center, an institute for elite dentists who choose Advanced Dentistry Through Science. Dr. Mirelez also advanced his sedation training with the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation to become a leader in Sedation Dentistry.

Dr. Mirelezs desire to be the best clinician possible through training and education has allowed him to acquire the honor of Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Thus, continuing his education and keeping apprised of the latest technological advances in the dental industry, in an effort to better serve his patients to educate and assist them in making the best decisions regarding their dental healthcare. The rigorous exam consisted of both a written and oral presentation. Dr. Mirelez passed the exam on his first attempt! By passing the exam, Dr. Mirelez has proven that he understands the concepts and principles taught by Dr. Kois well enough to facilitate and teach other dentists. He is 1 of 82 dentists worldwide to be honored with Clinical Instructor Distinction. One of Dr. Mirelezs countless efforts to become the best dental provider in Fresno is illustrated here, as he is now the ONLY Kois Center Clinical Instructor in the entire Central Valley.

Dr. Gates grew up in Fresno, graduating at the top of the Bullard High School class of 2000. He spent weekends and summers working at his fathers vineyard in Madera where he learned many skills and values which can be applied to dentistry. After high school, Dr. Gates then attended the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. While studying at Berkeley, he did research in a plant genetics laboratory.He matriculated into dental school in 2006 at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2010 with a DMD degree. In his spare time, he enjoys many outdoor activities such as cycling and hiking, as well asprojects around the house.Dr. Gates has been practicing dentistry for 10 years now and looks forward each day at the office.

Cherie is the Jack of all Trades!!We call her Little Mirelez The Girl Version. She has a contagious, positive energy that she loves to show. Rebekah has a passion for both dentistry and marketing. She is the first point of contact you will experience when scheduling online. I love being able to be a part of our patients dental experience and transformation from start to finish. Being able to change our patients lives through their smile is absolutely heartwarming. Amy has been an RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist) for over 18 years. Amys first Dental Hygiene job was with the practice before it became Mirelez Wellness Dental. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, pets and working on community improvement projects. She is a people person and it is the reason she became a Dental Hygienist. The most important thing to her is that her patients feel comfortable in her care and understands the she truly cares about their overall welfare and that their dental health improves not only their physical health, but emotional health as well.

What I love about dentistry is knowing I am helping others improve their quality of life. Dr. Mirelez is very caring and provides a fun working environment that our patients appreciate. I enjoy knowing that Dr. Mirelez is always striving to improve and learn the latest technologies available. Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She likes taking road trips, going on adventures, outdoor activities, such as hiking, going on walks and bike rides. Lisas happy place is anytime spent at the ocean. She loves the palm trees, ocean breeze and salty air.

Ed enjoys working at Mirelez Wellness Dental most of all because of the smiles on the patients face and knowing they can once again have confidence insmiling. Patientsare so happy when they leave and its a great feeling being able to part take in the process that can change a persons life. The team is enjoyable to work with and very close. Ed loves spending time with his nephews, brothers, and wife. His hobbies include trail running, relaxing with his family and playing or watching soccer. Ed also likes taking spontaneous road trips.

Fernando loves dentistry because of all the technology he gets to implement with patients.
