Dr. Arleen Azar-Mehr, better known as Dr. Azar, completed her orthodontic training at the University of Southern California, where she also received her Dental Degree and her Masters Degree in Craniofacial Biology. Dr. Azar comes from a dental family. She is a third generation dentist. Her maternal grandfather was the first Dean of Dental School in Seoul National University in Korea. Her parents are both dentists and professors at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Her husband is also an orthodontist. In addition to her private practice, she previously taught at the Orthodontic Department at UCLA Dental School. Dr. Azar is currently the past of the USC Orthodontic Alumni Association. Dr. Azar is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists(AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists(PCSO), the California Association of Orthodontists(CAO) and the San Fernando Valley Dental Society (SFVDS).

Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. My name is Shirley and I am the office manager at Dr. Azars orthodontic office. I have worked with Dr. Azar since she opened her office in 1998. I have worked in the dental field for over 40 years and I feel like this office is part of my extended family. I look forward to helping each patient and their family have a positive and fun experience at our office. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband Larry, my two daughters, and my two grandchildren. I also love to read, do gardening, and to hang out with my dog, rabbit, cats and chicken.
My name is Millie and I am the Treatment Coordinator at Dr. Azars orthodontic office. I have worked in the dental field for over 15 years and I have worked with Dr. Azar since 2008. I started working as a clinical assistant prior to being a Treatment Coordinator, so I feel that I can really help patients understand every step of what they will experience when they start with their treatment. I love spending time with my son, Riqy. In my free time, we love everything related to baseball and Disney. I also enjoy laughing, dancing, traveling, hiking and spending time with my family and friends.
My name is Sara and I am the scheduling coordinator at Dr. Azars orthodontic office. I have worked with Dr. Azar since 2010. I know from experience how much a smile can transform a person, because I was Dr. Azars patient when I was a teenager. Having my teeth straightened and getting the smile I always wanted was a great experience for me. I want to be able to be part of that same positive experience for our patients. In my free time I enjoy hiking, shopping and spending time with my family.

Thank you Dr. Azar & Staff, Today 8/8/22 our 14 yr old just got her Braces off, we can't be happier with the service and caring treatment we received for 2+ yrs, I will recommend Dr. Azar to anyone who is hesitant of going to get braces, My daughter now has a beautiful smile to start High School. This practice is amazing and goes above and beyond for their clients. I had to have a surgery done that they helped facilitate in preparation for my Invisaligns. They use an app to track your progress and assess any adjustments (which I hear not all practices do!) and everyone is super sweet and helpful. Best experience I've had with an orthodontist :)!

I was 43 years old when I finally could afford to to fix my teeth and get rid of a lifetime of embarrassment and not being happy with my smile. I carefully pursued top rated orthodontist in southern California for consultations until I met the Dr and her staff. I felt so comfortable with this team of experts eventhough I was so scared of ortho treatment. Dr Arleen was compassionate and listened carefully to my fears of treatment and catered to my goal of getting a Beautiful smile while minimizing discomfort. I'm so grateful for her because I'm extremely happy with my result and her time and attention to my treatment. She is not only a professional at the pinnacle of her craft, she's also a person who very clearly cares about her patients. I can't thank her enough or recommend a better expert!!!!

I just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Azar, and it was the best experience I've ever had at the dentist. Staff was nice and all the procedures were done quickly and smoothly. Their take-home Dental Monitoring device really made check-ups super efficient. I love my end results!

Dr Azar is #1 Orthodontist in the Valley. Approx 20 yrs ago my kids went to Dr Azar to get there braces. When I knew I needed so Orthodontic work there was no question that I would go see Dr. Azar. Her entire office staff are very professional and very sweet. I felt like I was going back in time as she still looks the same as she did 20 yrs ago. Dr Azar was very thorough explaining to me what I needed and how long I would need to wear my Invisalign's. The office took the time to explain how I send in my progress weekly. Every appt was quick and easy. I Highly recommend this Dr Azar as well as the office staff.

I was treated like a Queen from the get go. The team awas outstanding with their customer service. Very courteous from the moment I stepped in to the office. Everybody was friendly and polite. Dr. Arleen and her treatment coordinator Millie were very knowledgeable thus they are more than happy to explain to me the whole process. They are willing to answer every question I have. Hilary was also one of the staff who helped me with my xrays and invisalign. She is 10 out of 10 for being so detail oriented and professional. The facility is clean and got all the state of the art high tech equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Arleen! They even called me to see how I was doing not to mention sending me a hallmark card for the well wishes! I felt so welcome here. Highly recommended. No doubt.

Allie just had her last appointment today and she is so excited to have finished her invisalign treatment. Her teeth look amazing and her smile is gorgeous. We just love Dr. Azar, not only does she provide the best treatment but she is just so kind and easy to talk to. Her staff is the same, always friendly and easy to communicate with inside and out of the office. I'm excited that now 3 of my 4 daughters have finished with braces or invisalign and just one more to go.

My Invisalign experience here was so lovely, I came into it thinking I would dread the next year of my life but I was surprised at how easy and smoothly went, I even finished a month early. Dr.Azar is such a kind person and just like everyone else in the office makes you feel very welcome. I absolutely love the look of smile now. I know a few other people who have also gotten Invisalign treatment and they were all surprised at how I had such a great and knowledge doctor, many of them didn't know half the things I did about Invisalign plus I was able to message her any questions that I did have. If you're thinking of getting it Dr.Azar is definitely the way to go, it's rare to find people that actually love what they do and it's very clear that she does!

Dr. Azar and her team provide stellar service. Two of our 3 kids have been patients for the last 5 years or so. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Dr. Azar did amazing work for our son who had suffered from an injury resulting in broken teeth which resulted in an under bite. We were unsure of her plan of action when she suggested an Invisalign but trusted her expertise and the transformation is amazing!! Thank you Dr Azar and team!!!

First of all this was the best orthodontist appointment I have had in awhile. I have seen many bad orthodontists in the past few weeks but she gave great service and was upfront and honest with me and my treatment course. And I am happy to say I will be recommending friends and family. My overall rating would be 5/5 stars :)

I just got my braces off after 18 months and I am super thrilled with the results. The whole process from beginning to end was effortless and the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Dr Azar and Adriana who are both amazing at what they do. They made the whole experience a breeze and now I have a perfect smile. Would definitely recommend this place to others 100% for all your orthodontic needs!
