Arend Klooster DDS is originally from Grand Haven, MI. After dental school in Michigan he moved to North Carolina to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of North Carolina where he served as Chief Resident. In his residency, he learned how to manage and treat more complex dental cases and has carried that knowledge with him into private practice.
Dr. Marinakis is a native of Wake County having grown up just a few miles down the road in Knightdale, NC. He attended NC State University in Raleigh and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. It was there that he met his college sweetheart and future wife before moving on to UNC Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Caroline Jones is a native of Durham, NC. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Georgia in 2010, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. After completing her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2014.
Dr. Klooster likes to stay up to date on all the latest advances and technological breakthroughs in dentistry to ensure that he is offering patients the best possible care. He is happy to discuss different treatment options to ensure you are getting the treatment you want and need.
Dr. Marinakis is known for his gentleness, professionalism and individualized attention and care he gives to all patients. He believes in creating a relaxed and comfortable environment for patients to feel safe discussing their dental concerns. He focuses on providing the best treatment options to help each of his patients achieve their individual dental goals as they relate to function, esthetics, longevity and comfort.
Dr. Marinakis enjoys treating a diverse population of patients and promoting prevention and optimal oral healthcare to help others live a healthier and happier life. He loves all aspects of general dentistry but has special interest in performing restorative procedures, (dentures/partial dentures, crowns and bridges and veneers), root canal therapy and treatment of pediatric patients. As a current member of the North Carolina Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Marinakis supplements his nature of life-long learning and desire to stay up-to-date on the latest treatment techniques and dental research. He enjoys continuing education courses that focus on innovative methods to deliver more comfortable and predictable dental care.
Having spent 4 years at each school, Dr. Marinakis believes it is possible to be both a Wolfpack and Tar Heel fan (except when they play each other; in which case, go Wolfpack!). In his free time, Dr. Marinakis enjoys family time with his wife and two daughters, traveling and discovering new cultures, cooking and attending monthly car meets with friends. He and his wife have attended The Summit Church together since their first year in college.
