Orthodontics allows Dr. Bisconti to combine his love of science and art to create beautiful and healthy smiles. Having practicedorthodontics in Youngstown since 1992, he began his orthodontic journey at Youngstown State University, where he graduatedsumma cum laude with his Bachelor of Science. He continued on to the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and then the University of Louisville for his orthodontic residency and masters degree.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics,Dr. Bisconti keeps updated on the most current techniques to provide the most efficient and comfortable treatment possible. He maintains memberships with numerous professional organizations, including:

Dr. Bisconti understands the importance of supporting local organizations and schools to makethe community stronger. He gives back to the community by volunteering with the Rotary Club of Boardman andthe Knights of Columbus, and as well as speaking to local school children about dental health.

A native of Boardman, Dr. Bisconti currently resides in Poland, Ohio with his wifeLori, and daughtersAlissa and Lia. When hes not creating beautiful smiles, he can be found at the YMCA or on the golf course. He loves to travel and enjoys watching sports, especially football.

Courtney joined the Bisconti Orthodontics team in 2015. Courtney enjoys the upbeat office atmosphere and woriking as a team. She also loves seeing the wonderful changes orthodontic treatment makes for our patients.

In her spare time, Courtney enjoys being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. When not outside, Courtney likes to spend time with her family and friends and listening to music from the 80's, from classic rock to country.

Kathy has been with Dr. Biscontisince 2016, though her career in dentistry began in 1998. Her experience serves our patients well, becauseshes adept at coordinating treatment and processing insurance. Kathy takes great pleasure in building relationships with our patients and their families, as well as watchingthechildren grow into young adults and seeing the beautiful smiles Dr. Bisconti creates.

Kathy loves spending time with her husband, her daughter, and her new puppy. Kathy is also very active at St. Luke's Parish serving as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Bell Choir, and a volunteer at bingo.

Julias career in orthodontics began in 2005. Since that time, she worked in both orthodontics andgeneral dentistry prior to joiningDr. Biscontis office in 2018. Julia enjoys being part of the teamin our pleasant and professional atmosphere, and loves seeing so many beautiful smiles as a result of orthodontic treatment.

Gisele began her career in dentistry in 1977 and joined Dr. Bisconti in 1996 when he opened the practice. She works with patients as an orthodontic and Invisalign technician, and also takes care of the offices marketing. Gisele loves seeing each patient progress through treatment and end up with a beautiful smile.

Gisele enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, grandchildren, and friends. She can often be found rocking out to the Beatles. She loves traveling and has been to many places in the United States and Italy.

Colleen started her career in orthodontics in 2015. She enjoys interacting with the patients and their families and working in a fun, upbeat atmosphere. When not in the office, Colleen loves spending time with her husband and two sons.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
