I am a dentist because I believe that you cannot be healthy if you are not healthy dentally. In every conversation in my practice, I work hard to clearly explain a patients options and together we work towards the best course of treatment. I strive to create long-term trusting relationships with my patients and their families, especially children. I joined this practice in 2013 because I know that every member of the staff treats each patient with the utmost care and respect. I have owned this practice since 2017; it is my goal to uphold the same high standard that this practice has been maintaining for many years.

In order to uphold this tradition, I ensure that I am abreast of the most modern techniques and technology available in the ever-changing world of dentistry. I pursue continuing education well beyond the requisite hours to maintain my license and typically complete over 70 hours of continuing education per year, both in classes and in a monthly study club in Portland. I also attend hands-on workshopsat the Spear Institute and CEREC campus in Arizona where I learn the best, latest treatment options and bring them back to Maine.Upon my return, I work to teach my team and patients about these developments and seek to apply these techniques in the most conservative approach possible.

Dentistry is a wonderful combination of teaching, science, skilled handwork, relationship building,and art. I feel very fortunate and humbled to have my patients trust me with their health, comfort, emotional wellbeing, and appearance.

I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington and came to Maine to study biochemistry while attending Colby College. While there I spent time interning with Dr. Poirier and his team, and in doing so I discovered a caring, friendly environment in which every practice member focused on doing the absolute best for each patient. Upon graduating magna cum laude fromTufts University School of Dental Medicinein 2011, I was presented with the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Award; this isgiven to one member of the graduating class 'having exhibited the greatest interest, knowledge and proficiency in the field of general dentistry.' It turns out Dr. Poirier also won this same award upon his graduation from Tufts.

I am a past President and the immediate past Treasurer/Secretary of the Kennebec Valley Dental Society. I also am a member of the Maine Dental Association, theAmerican Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, a Faculty Club member of Spear Education, and a member of the Spear Study Club of South Portland.

My husband Brendan, a native Mainer and fellow Colby grad, and I are so happy to call Maine our home and have our daughters grow up in Waterville. When we can catch a game, watching rugby brings us back to when we played for the Colby team. I am also enjoying my tenure as a board member of the Waterville Public Library. At home, I often spend weekendsbaking for my family, friends, or the office team, who don't seem to mind all that much.

I am proud to be a dentist and to follow the path of my father and grandfather, providing each of my patients with the individualized, quality dental care that has become a tradition in my practice. I am honored to know the families in our community, and always enjoy building long-term relationships with my patients. Both Dr. O'Keefe and I have the same practice philosophy of providing conservative, comprehensive care to all our patients. Our goal is to stabilize your dental health and maintain it through patient education and preventive visits over the long term.

I completed my Undergraduate Education at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, as a Physics Major. I then went on to Tufts Dental School in Boston, where I earned my DMD. Finally, I attained my dental residency at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY.

As part of my continuing dental education, I attend over 70 hours of continuing education each year. Lately, I am honored to have been selected as a CEREC Mentor (CAD/CAM crowns) which allows me to share my knowledge and expertise with my colleagues nationwide. I vary my concentration of studies in order to provide a wide range of the highest quality care. As an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, I have the opportunity to learn the latest methods and techniques from professionals I trust.

I have been practicing dentistry since 1977, and am passionate about what I do. I love getting to know my patients, and always strive for perfection in the dental services I provide. I am inspired on a daily basis by the kindness and appreciation of my patients, and I will only give them the highest level of care. I improve my skills continuously in order to stay at the top of my field and to provide the best technology for improving patient care.

In my practice, our team is truly one of a kind. They are knowledgeable and compassionate people who are dedicated to the health and comfort of our patients. My staff is very thorough in their work, and enjoy helping our patients take care of their teeth, so they keep their beautiful, healthy smiles for a lifetime!

I grew up in Waterville, and have been a part of the Oakland community since 1987. My lovely wife, Laurie, and I are proud of our two grown sons. In my spare time, I enjoy competitive road and mountain biking, downhill skiing, hiking, kayaking, and travel.

As part of our community, I helped start a low- or no-cost community dental center, which has been providing service since 2001, and I am still on the Board of Directors. I also started a dental sealant program in the Oakland school district, which has been providing free sealants for children since 1982. I serve on the Board of Directors of Carrabassett Valley Academy, and the Quarry Road Recreation Area and enjoy being able to help worthy causes to improve the health of my friends and neighbors.

I received my BA from Emory University before earning my dental degree from the University of New England in 2019. At UNE, I was awarded the Distinction in Dental Public Health Leadership and I finished my clinical rotations in Ellsworth.

Upon graduation, I completed a general practice residency at the University of Vermont where I worked with complex dental cases in the Emergency Department and with hospital inpatients. I continued on to work in private practice in North Carolina. While in North Carolina, I realized belonged in Maine and found Waterville perfect for my love of small towns close to stables for my horse (Cinco) and running trails for myself.

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and spent many family trips hiking in Maine. Ive lived in Alaska, worked for years in homeless shelters and I have run the legendary Millinocket Marathonin Decemberin Millinocket!

I am thrilled to join this practice! The modern, comprehensive care and the personal relationships Ds. OKeefe and Poirier create with their patients excites me and I look forward to meeting all the current and new patients.

I have been in the dental field for 30 years both as a dental assistant and as a front office staff member.I am proud of the level of care and compassion in our office and am excited to be a part of this practice.I am here to help you with any questions you may have about your dental care, insurance, billing, or any other concerns.

I have been a dental assistant with this practice since 1982.I assist chairside on clinical procedures, take X-rays, make temporary crowns and bridges, and do lab work. I really enjoy working with Dr. Poirier, as he always keeps up with the latest technology, materials, and procedures which keeps things interesting. We have a great staff that works very well as a team to make our patients feel at ease and well taken care of.

I ama dental assistantwho joined the staff here at Dr. Poirier and O'Keefe in 2013. I graduated from KVTC in 1985 from both the medical and dental assisting programs and have been working in dentistry ever since.I am grateful to be working in an office that maintains such a high quality of patient care with the most up-to-date technologies.

As your hygienist, I perform thorough cleanings, periodontal probing, root planing, and scaling, take X-rays, and detect cavities. I also teach patients how to properly care for their teeth so they come back with a clean bill of health! I enjoy building relationships with my patients and putting them at ease. It is very important to me that I support such fine dentistry and both Dr. Poirier and Dr. O'Keefehave an ongoing commitment to provide the best care and treatment possible.

As a dental hygienist, I educate patients on how to attain and maintain optimal oral health. My other duties include blood pressure screening, decay risk assessment, dietary review, explaining restorative procedures, and oral cancer screening. I have been a proud member of our team since 2003, and have worked in dentistry since 1982. I am so lucky to share in my patients' lives, and I have come to know some extraordinary people through our practice.

I am proud to be a hygienist for such talented dentists, and it always makes my day when patients tell us how thorough, professional, and gentle we are. Whether it is having their hygiene visits or restorative work done, patients appreciate our thorough and compassionate care. As the office manager, I help make sure that proper systems are in place so patients enjoy visiting our office from beginning to end. I enjoy working for Dr. Poirier and Dr. O'Keefe because they put such an emphasis on patient education and prevention of dental problems and because they work hard to stay up to date on the most modern technology and procedures. When I am not at the office, I enjoy hiking and camping and spend as much time with my wife and daughter as I can.
