Dr. Carl M. Stegeris a Fairfax, Virginia native and the owner of South Riding Cosmetic & FamilyDentistry. He graduated from W.T. Woodson High Schoolin 1991 and majored in biology at theUniversity of Virginia.
After graduating with honors from theMedical College of Virginia School of Dentistryin Richmond, he served three years of active duty as a captain with the United States Air Force, and completed an advanced education general dentistry residency at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, Louisiana. He also served two years at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he received additional training in radiation safety, forensic dentistry, and combat casualty care. In 2002, Dr. Steger received the Air Force Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service and moved back home to begin private practice.
Following several associateships in Northern Virginia, Dr. Steger ventured down to North Carolina for a change of pace and set up a practice from scratch in the Research Triangle area. Six years later, after a successful run with his new office and a much deeper understanding of how to runa business, he returned to his native Virginia and South Riding Family Dentistry. He purchased the practice in August2012.
With a firm commitment to advanced training, Dr. Steger attends many hours of continuing education every year. He is an alumnus of the prestigiousDawson Academyin Clearwater, Florida, where dentists learn advanced comprehensive smile design, including reconstruction of the bite and the latest in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Steger also enjoys active participation in the local Loudoun CountySpear Study Club, where some of the best orthodontists, oral surgeons, and general dentists gather to encourage multidisciplinary approaches to complex dental problems.
Dr. Steger is one of a small percentage of dentists whouse a microscope to ensure the greatest precision when providing your care. You can be assured that this extra level of magnification goes above and beyond the normal standard, and yieldsbeautifully aesthetic and functional results. Dr. Steger excels at complex restorative and cosmetic dentistry, minor surgical procedures (including laser treatments), endodontics (root canals), andimplant restorations.
He enjoys donating his time to the Mission of Mercy Project a humanitarian mission at the Northern Virginia Community College that provides free care to those less fortunate. In his limited spare time youll find him working out, mountain biking local single track at Fountainhead or Lake Fairfax, and traveling with family. He lives in Fairfax with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. Suresh had a desire for a career in health care from a young age. That passion, combined with an interest in art and science, was the spark that motivated her to pursue a career in dentistry. She has been in the dental field since 2002, with experience being a dental assistant, a Registered Dental Hygienist, and a general dentist. Her primary goal is to provide patients with the most comfortable dental experience where they can express their dental concerns with the confidence that they will be provided the best possible care.
Dr. Suresh believes in long-term patient relationships. Dentistry gives her an opportunity to educate, treat, and improve the oral and overall health of her patients. She knows her passion for dentistry can empower her patients with a confident smile that they will be proud of for life.
Dr. Suresh is constantly challenging herself to learn the most advanced, conservative, and non-invasive treatment options available to provide outstanding care. From preventative procedure to cosmetic dentistry and Invisilign, she is excited to provide you and your family a beautiful, healthy, long-lasting result.
Dr. Suresh is an active member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society. She is also extremely committed to giving back to the local community. She enjoys volunteering her time through multiple organizations including the Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, andvarious special needs dental outreach programs through the NorthernVirginia Dental Society (NVDS). She is also Volunteer Member of the Human Resource Committee for Innovative Life Solutions (a nonprofit organization caring for individuals with special needs) and the Loudoun Medical Reserve Corps (MRC).
