Dr. Ann Chernyak is passionate about providing quality dentistry. She has attained extensive training in the dental field and specializes in periodontics and dental implants. She values the importance of maintaining her patients teeth for a lifetime and understands the relationship of healthy dentition to overall, systemic health. Her practice philosophy is to provide minimally invasive and most conservative treatment methods to achieve optimal dental health and a beautiful smile.
Dr. Chernyak completed her undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from State University of New York at Albany. During her time in Albany, Dr. Chernyak pursued a research internship in the field of immunology and cellular biology at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Chernyak earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon completion of her dental studies, Dr. Chernyak decided to advance her knowledge and experience in the practice of dentistry by attending a general practice residency program (GPR) at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
After completing the general practice residency program, Dr. Chernyak began to practice as a general dentist. She quickly realized the importance of saving teeth and preserving her patients natural dentition. She then continued her education in the field of periodontics. She completed a 3-year program in periodontology and oral implantology at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. During her periodontal studies, Dr. Chernyak also earned an MS in Oral Biology and achieved the status of board certified periodontist.
Dr. Chernyak strives to provide the highest standard of oral surgical care and is meticulous in every detail. Her primary concern is the comfort of her patients during all stages of care. In her free time, she enjoys learning the game of tennis, listening to live music and traveling.

Dr. Chernyak has absolutely changed my life. I've had previous dental work that was failing, and a plethora of issues that have had me in pain and feeling hopeless. It's really difficult for me to even be there, and Dr. Chernyak did everything and more to help me. She and her team not only worked on my immediate problems at hand, but contacted a wonderful orthodontist and worked with them on a treatment plan for me. I've just started the process a few months ago but I have complete faith that all my problems will be solved and I have a pain free mouth in my future.

Dr. Chernyak is an amazing dentist! She has the most delicate hands (and I have a seriously sensitive mouth), she takes the time to make sure I am comfortable and informed, and above all she works until she reaches perfection. I would recommend Dr. Chernyak to all of my friends and family, if I could give her more than 5 stars, I would! Overall, Dr. Chernyak is thorough, a great person to talk to and makes me feel completely comfortable with her care.

Most Caring, gentle, honest person in the medical field I have ever come across. She knows exactly what she is talking about and will go as far as looking into a situation you may be having on her off time to help you. Recommend her 1000 times over if I could. Thank you Dr Ann.

I'm very satisfied with the services Dr. Ann provided(gum decease, deep cleaning, polishing). She is very particular on what she does. I couldn't believe that she can make my gums much better in just two visits! She is not a typical doctor, but much more than that. Highly recommended!

Amazing doctor with hands of an angel! Dr Chernyak did scaling of my teeth that were crying out for help! My mouth feels amazing and clean with her help the puffiness of my gums has improved significantly! She takes her time to explain procedures to you and you can tell she truly cares.

Hands down, one of the BEST periodontist, oral surgeons, I have had the pleasure of working with. She is thorough, polite, knows her craft, and after having a tooth pulled 3 days ago, I'm in no pain whatsoever, not even the same day of surgery. I followed the prescribed steps and I'm absolutely looking forward to the remaining process for my dental implant. The office staff is absolutely wonderful also. This is a great place to meet your oral care needs!
