Dr. Ann Chernyak is passionate about providing quality dentistry. She has attained extensive training in the dental field and specializes in periodontics and dental implants. She values the importance of maintaining her patients teeth for a lifetime and understands the relationship of healthy dentition to overall, systemic health. Her practice philosophy is to provide minimally invasive and most conservative treatment methods to achieve optimal dental health and a beautiful smile.
Dr. Chernyak completed her undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from State University of New York at Albany. During her time in Albany, Dr. Chernyak pursued a research internship in the field of immunology and cellular biology at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Chernyak earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon completion of her dental studies, Dr. Chernyak decided to advance her knowledge and experience in the practice of dentistry by attending a general practice residency program (GPR) at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
After completing the general practice residency program, Dr. Chernyak began to practice as a general dentist. She quickly realized the importance of saving teeth and preserving her patients natural dentition. She then continued her education in the field of periodontics. She completed a 3-year program in periodontology and oral implantology at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. During her periodontal studies, Dr. Chernyak also earned an MS in Oral Biology and achieved the status of board certified periodontist.
Dr. Chernyak strives to provide the highest standard of oral surgical care and is meticulous in every detail. Her primary concern is the comfort of her patients during all stages of care. In her free time, she enjoys learning the game of tennis, listening to live music and traveling.
