Dr. Andrew M. Bateman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.
As a young man, Dr. Bateman served a church mission in Londrina, Brazil. He has continued to give volunteer service, taking part in humanitarian projects in Peru, Brazil, Utah, Kentucky, and Tennessee. In addition to humanitarian projects that give back, Dr. Bateman has a love for health. He views oral health as an important piece of overall health.
Dr. Bateman is committed to continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance his skills to serve the dental care needs of his patients better and provide them with a gentle and comfortable dental experience. He has trained under some world-renowned dentists such as Michael Apa, Larry Rosenthal, George Kirtley, David Hornbrook, Mark Montgomery, Dennis Wells, Brian Harris, and many others to perfect the art of Smile Design.
Dr. Bateman is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentists, the Academy of LDS Dentists, and the Crown Council. Dr. Bateman speaks Portuguese and Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to meet and treat new patients.
Dr. Bateman, his wife Luci, and their three children, Julia, Olivia, and Sophia live in Lehi and are excited to be back home after living in the South for the last 6+ years. In his free time, Dr. Bateman enjoys running, cycling, CrossFit, skiing, basketball, football, soccer, golf, and being outdoors.
Dr. Bateman received his Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University majoring in Zoology with an emphasis in Chemistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago.
Following Dental School, Dr. Bateman served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. During his military service, Dr. Bateman gained experience in various dental specialties. He obtained his license to practice dentistry in the State of California where he also maintained a private practice. Dr. Bateman subsequently moved back home to Utah and has now practiced in Utah County for more that forty years.

Dr. Mitchell Duckworth, was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. He loves the outdoors and exploring all that Utah has to offer. He is an experienced general dentist and residency-trained dentist anesthesiologist.
Dr. Duckworth graduated from the University of Southern Californias Ostrow School of Dentistry and subsequently completed a residency in anesthesia at Stony Brook University Hospital, in Long Island, New York. During his residency, he completed rotations in Cardiology, Pain Management, Ambulatory Anesthesia, Post-Anesthesia Care, as well as Internal and Pediatric Medicine.
Dr. Duckworth specializes in delivering individually tailored anesthesia to all populations, including pediatric and patients with special needs. He takes great pride in making each patient feel comfortable, while trying to understand each individuals needs and anxieties.
Hes had many opportunities to offer service through his profession in under-developed countries throughout Central and South America. These trips are the highlight of his career and he is always looking for new opportunities to help create healthy smiles. This is a review for my 76 year old mother in law, Paulette, who is a patient of Dr. Bateman. Paula had a stained partial denture, but they talked her into getting a new partial denture instead of just cleaning the old one. The new partial hasn't ever fit in spite of multiple attempts to adjust it. It's been a year, and she now has a popping in her jaw, headaches, and symptoms of a fractured back tooth. Another dental professional said the impression and/or the lab work must be bad. Bateman has refused to give her a full refund even though Paula can't use the partial at all. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. BATEMAN.

I went there to meet with Robert Swenson. I had never met him before. He was awesome. I decided to have him do the dental work I need done. He seems like he is very noligabal. A very nice guy. It was great. They are all very nice people there. They all gdo a great job. I love Dr. BATEMAN. He is very caring and shows great concern for his patients.

Very friendly and supper fantastically fancy!! Been with the Batemans for almost 20 years of service. And I can't wait to get my second implant done. Wish Adam Bateman was still there to do the second one for me. But I trust that the any Bateman generations. Are all naturals!! Thank you thank you always! Keep up the good work! They will answer any questions about my service and have amazing understanding communication skills. There whole staff is sooo cool! I just got my implant done today, by Dr. Swensen . And I was very satisfied. Im in alot of pain, but that is normal for a surgery procedure and the medications will help with this,(I just need to make a trip to the pharmacist.). I'm just soo glad that they were able to make my experience as smoothly as possible, So it's definitely been great!! Dr. Swensen was very good and precise with the whole procedure, definitely knows his career thank you thank you! I would totally recommend him to anyone wanting an implant And the best thing about this office. They take of you and the accept Carecredit ... I got my caps today and they look soo fabulous!!! Always appreciating that you guys are very caring!!! Keep up the awesomeness!!! Every time I go to my appointments. Im always satisfied when I leave the Batemans!!!

It was really good. The young girl who cleaned the other half of my teeth was really awesome!!! She took very good care of me and made sure I was comfortable!!! My new crowns fit so good!!! The personal are fantastic Dr. Bateman is so good at what he does and is super nice!!!

The whole team here is wonderful- from the receptionists, to the assistant's. I brought a few of my kids here to see Dr. Emery, to get a second opinion on some things that would have been costly if I were to have had the work done at the initial place they had been seen at. Our visit to Dr. Emery saved us HUNDREDS of dollars that would have been unnecessarily spent. I feel confident that I have finally found a dentist I can trust, and one I can bring my whole family to!

Such a great dentist office! Everyone there was friendly and made me feel completely comfortable. They even had an amenities list on the chair. I've never seen that at any other dentist office. They offered things like a massage chair, neck pillow, topical numbing cream, etc. I can finally say, I've found the perfect dentist office for me.
