Dr. Pinhos dental team is known for their family-friendly approach, treating every patients needs as their own. Our dental office has been specifically designed and equipped with state-of-the-art computerized digital x-ray (90% less radiation), laser, cosmetic imaging (before/after) and teeth whitening equipment.
Dr. Del graduated from UFF Universidade Federal Fluminense dental school in Brazil in 1992. From 1992 to 1999 he was in private practice in Niteroi Rio de Janeiro focusing on cosmetic dentistry. Because Rio de Janeiro is known as the number one city in the world for cosmetic procedures, there was a high demand for cosmetic dentistry. He also worked as a volunteer at his citys hospital emergency room on weekends. In 1999, he was invited to work for a leading expert in cosmetic dentistry in the Boston area where he worked for two years also lecturing and doing research on new materials, equipment, and techniques related to smile makeovers. In 2001, Dr. Del was invited to work in Santa Barbara and fell in love with this beautiful city, where he opened his own practice in 2003.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Del enjoys surfing, riding motorcycles, enjoying this beautiful area and spending time with his three dogs, Daisy, Baby, and Hass. On Saturdays, Dr. Del visits the Dobie and Little Paws Rescue in Fillmore, CA to walk adoptable dogs. In fact, thats where he got his newest fur-family addition, the Doberman, Hass.

Phoebe was born in Chicago, IL and was raised in Tampa, FL. She has worked as a Dental Assistant since 2014 and during that time was an assistant for Dr. Del Pinho. After working with Dr. Del Pinho for about a year, she wanted to explore other specialities in dentistry. She assisted with an Endodontist for about a year, and then a General Dentist that placed implants for about three years. During this time she excelled in chairside dental assisting as well as working with CAD/CAM dental technology, designing, fabricating, and characterizing same-day crowns, veneers, and screw-retained implant crowns. Now, Phoebe works as Dr. Del Pinhos office manager and receptionist. She enjoys spending time with her co-star, Willie, and daughter, Aria. She has two, adorable fur-babies named Kiyah and Leo. Phoebe loves to do yoga, macrame, go running, and tend to her home garden.

I had my first visit and I love how Dr. Del Pinho takes pictures of your teeth and shows them to you on a screen so you can see the problems like he can! He also seems pretty conservative and won't jump to invasive procedures until absolutely necessary!

I was at Dr. Pinho's office yesterday for a teeth cleaning and I was happy with the service. The hygienist was able to perform the service without causing any pain or discomfort. I've been to different dentists in town who made me feel in a torture session while performing the cleaning. I definitely recommend Dr. Del Pinho's office!

I Cracked a tooth on the weekend. I left a message and on Monday they got me in and took care of it in less than 1 hour, more like 30-40 minutes in and out! Very professional and a nice person! and a great staff!

I had a decent size chip in my tooth which was visible when I smiled. It didn't bother me too much per se but it was something I've been wanting to take care of for some time now. My previous DDS said she could do it but for whatever reason, my gut told me not to use her for this particular job. I found Dr Del through a personal referral and the moment he looked at my mouth/teeth he was on it and I told myself, "yup this is the guy." I immediately trusted him to polish down part of the tooth (which is an irreversible thing) and it took about 30 minutes to facilitate the entire job. My teeth look great, you cannot tell my tooth was ever chipped and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much to everyone at this office!!

Dr. Del Pinho is a superb dentist who combines first-rate technical skills with a warm, caring personal touch. His office has state-of-the-art equipment and is staffed by capable people who go extra lengths to accommodate his patients. I have confirmed Dr. Pinho's judgment and ability through my personal experience as his patient, and through consultation with Santa Barbara's leading oral surgeon. I can unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone seeking the best dental care possible.

This dentist is probably a great guy for cosmetic dentistry. He has all the latest tools and toys. Office is very nice vibe. But he charges accordingly. Buyer beware. They will bill insurance but they are in network for nobody. This they told me, but let me explain to you what that really looks like: Results of estimate for work: Del Pinho cost: $8250+ out of pocket after insurance pays $1500. Another nearby dentist with great reviews: $110 out of pocket after insurance pays $440. Granted I went to a run of the mill dentist who used traditional materials and techniques. I was in and out in just over 1 hour. That dentist did not disagree with the results of the exam, just offered a different route to fix it. Rating: 1 star for a correct assessment of the work I would give their hygienist 10 stars if I could. So 1 personal for Anna. I would go see her again but it would cost me $300 out of pocket after insurance pays about $100. Most places don't charge that much to get your teeth cleaned. Nothing fancy about this, either. for their approach. How he runs his business is completely his choice. Nice stuff and fancy materials cost money. They offered to finance me. Pay x4 to x80 for them if you want: I'm just glad I started calling around after looking up typical prices for typical dental procedures, this is available by zip code.

I have been a patient for probably 20 years. Del's up to date equipment can make your crowns and inlays in one appointment. No waiting for weeks between appointments. When I have a special problem, they handle it promptly. Best in town!

Dr. Del is an excellent dentist. He explains everything he's doing during his dental work, including how long each step will take. I find this very helpful when a lengthy procedure is needed. His assistants and hygienists are also skilled and informative. The front desk staff handle the financial issues well. I highly recommend this dental office.

Moving to a new town and changing dentists had me a bit concerned but Dr Del Pinho came highly recommended by a 15 year patient and another friend who has had extensive dental work by him. My cleanings have been so thorough and the office staff is friendly and professional. All the proper Covid-19 safeguards are in place and communication around Covid-19 has been stellar. When I had to have some real work done I was nervous but very impressed by the technology they use and the ease of the process.
