Dr. Marashi completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Louisiana State University and the University of Rochester. He also attended medical school at Louisiana State University where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree cum laude, followed by a year of medical residency.
Dr. Coviak completed his residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Ascension St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital following receipt of his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University and completion of a year of General Surgery training. Prior to this, like Dr. Marashi, Dr. Coviak underwent training at the University of Rochester. Following completion of his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Michigan, Dr. Coviak completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital, where he focused on the care of medically-compromised patients in the hospital setting. He is Board-eligible for the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Dental Association. Dr. Coviak maintains certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
Dr. Coviak grew up in western Michigan and attended the University of Michigan, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 2008. He then moved to South Carolina and worked in IT for Clemson University, before returning to Michigan for completion of Dental School. Having fallen in love with the area, before leaving Clemson, Dr. Coviak vowed to return. Outside of work, Dr. Coviak enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and new son, William. He loves me being outdoors and active, particularly in water sports, but he also has a passion for watching college sports.

They incorrectly billed my insurance, then sent my account to collections without notifying me. I paid $1500 up front for a $2500 procedure, but they're trying to claim that I still owe $1165 out of pocket. I have some of the best dental insurance in the country. I've been reaching out to their billing department for almost two years now, but Cynthia Noelle refuses to return my calls.

I was referred to Dr. Marashi for a sinus lift so I would be able to get two implants on my back upper to replace teeth pulled. After my prior dental experience from another office I was very nervous and skeptical of the procedure. To my delight Dr. Marashi explained exactly what I needed in a manner I understand. He answered all my questions - and there were many - making me feel at ease during the whole experience. I was so happy with his service and staff I let him place the posts also! If I ever need an oral surgeon again I would not hesitate to call Dr. Marashi again. I highly recommend him!

Really a bad experience, I went for a wisdom teeth diagnostic, I had discomfort in the bottom teeth and the doctor Marashi wanted to remove only the wisdom teeth from the top. Additionally, I paid a lot for a 3d xray I didn't even need at all. I got my wisdom teeth off in a different place and I paid almost the same compared to the estimations that I received here and I got my 4 teeth off with IV sedation I don't recommend this place at all

My daughter recently has her wisdom teeth removed at Greater Charlotte Oral & Facial Surgery. As a dentist, I have referred patients of my own to Dr. Marashi before, and now when it was time to refer my own family, I knew just where to go. Dr. Marashi is an expert at oral surgery, and his staff couldn't have been more friendly. My daughter was made very comfortable during the surgery, and to my surprise, she was even comfortable after the surgery! Dr. Marashi had used Exparel, a non-opioid medication, at the time of the surgery. It provided my daughter with pain relief during the first few critical days of healing, allowing her to recover without narcotic pain medications. As a parent, I was thrilled that Dr. Marashi cares enough about his patients' health and well-being to make this option available. Thank you all so much - great experience.

I have had a long and sordid history with oral surgery and had my fair share of bad experiences. i have a healthy fear of practitioners in the field. by far Dr. Marashi and his staff surpassed all of my negative expectations and were extremely inviting and kind. they were efficient and as soon as i was out went to work i woke up and didn't even realize i had surgery. would give more stars if i could!

Hello , everyone. I just got wisdom teeth done by this doctor and his staff. It was a really comfortable and great experience for someone who was freaking out a little bit about it haha. This doctor and his staffnwere very professional and amazing ! I would recommend going to him for wisdom tooth removal or any other surgery you might need.

Until my experience with South Charlotte Oral Surgery I was terrified of dentists and oral surgeons. Dr. Marashi and his entire staff treated me with the highest quality of care and respect. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate them a 50! I thank them immensely for my outstanding experiences.

The staff was very friendly and genuine, they also made sure they informed me of the total procedure! Mr. Marashi, was professional, and made me feel very comfortable! I would definitely read him attend on my experience with him.
