Dr. Bill Witkowski achieved a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a Baccalaureate Graduate of Fairfield University and a proud member of Xavier High School's first graduating class.

Dr. Bill treated our Native American population, completing a US Public Health Service Residency at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, AK. He then further served at the Claremore Indian Hospital in Oklahoma. He has advanced education in Early Childhood Growth and Development.

Dr. Bill established Durham Dental in 1977. Happy and proud to treat the dental needs of his hometown friends and family. He is a past president of the Middlesex County Dental Society, and a lifetime member of the American Dental Association. Recently he has partnered in the development of patented processes of Stem Cell Treatment of Autism and Diabetes.

Dr. John Zyzo is very excited to join the Durham Dental team! He shares their vision of high quality dental care in a comfortable setting. He also believes that communication is key in building trust, and hopes to forge lasting relationships with each patient.

Dr. John is committed to lifelong learning and staying on top of the most current developments in dentistry. He is a member of the Department of Dentistry at Danbury Hospital, where he provides direct patient care and supervision of the dental residents.

Dr. John is dedicated to community outreach, both local and abroad. He has volunteered on multiple dental service trips to Honduras. Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, skiing, and supporting New York and UConn sports teams.

Bobbie Gross has been a registered dental hygienist since 1979. She is from Rochester, NY and has three siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews living in the greater Rochester area. She was valedictorian at Monroe Community College and graduated with Distinction, Stevenson Medal for Highest Academic Average, and Best Clinical Proficiency.At the University of Connecticut, she was part of the Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Sigma Lamda - National Honor Society for Continuing Education.

Marcia graduated from Tunxis College of Dental Hygiene class of 1992. She has enjoyed educating her patients to achieve their optimal oral health for the past 20+ years. Prior to dental hygiene, she spent 5 years in the military and worked on the hospital ship U.S. Mercy in the Philippines. Marcia enjoys a variety of outdoor sports like skiing and Zumba. She loves spending time with her family.

Jax is a recent graduate from the Goodwin College school of Dental Hygiene class of December 2019. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists Association- Connecticut (ADHA-CT) and the Connecticut Hygiene Political Action Committee (ConnHyPAC). Prior to becoming a dental hygienist, she worked in animal husbandry with exotic creatures, specializing in their care and public education. She later worked in the veterinary field where she began cleaning cat and dog teeth, thus began her enthusiasm for dental hygiene. At home, she cares for her two cats, rabbit, and reptiles.

Myriah started her dental career in 2017 as a dental assistant. She graduated from Oxford Academy of Hair Design in 2005 with a cosmetology license, and is still working in this field as a Master Designer for over 12 years. She has a passion for animals and also enjoys the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, art and has a flair for interior design. She spends most of her time with her daughter and two rescue dogs.

Heidi studied dental assisting in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and Dental Assisting in San Diego, CA where she received her Registered Dental Assistant degree. She has worked in many areas of dentistry for the past 20+ years and enjoys the interaction with the patients as a schedule and treatment coordinator, helping patients get the best smile possible.

She enjoys kayaking and restoring her historic house along the Connecticut River. Her adult children reside in San Diego, where she loves to visit. She is also an avid equestrian who owns and shows her two horses and a cat named Buttons.

Michelle has worked for Durham Dental since the summer of 2020. She coordinates insurance benefits and loves to help patients reach their dental goals. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family.
