Previously, she obtained her DDS degree from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1987. In 1989 she was awarded with a scholarship to study Dental Implants at Hiroshima University in Japan. In 1993, she joined the Department of Bone & Mineral Research at Washington University in Saint Louis, where she studied the cell that resorb bone (osteoclast). After dedicating several years to reseach, she was eager to go back and pursue her career in Dentistry. After graduation from University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Matayoshi completed her General Dentistry Residency Program at Washington University School of Medicine in 2000. After practicing Dentistry for several years in Saint Louis, Missouri, Dr.Matayoshi, her husband Robert and son moved to the Jacksonville area. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis with Robert, reading and riding bicycle with her son Matthew.
Originally from Arizona, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State in 1999. She loves the medical field and has worked in many areas of the field, including surgical technology. Martina is a corner stone to our dental team, bringing patients the smile they desire and giving them a refreshed confidence.
She has been with Dr. Matayoshi since the opening of the practice in 2008. When not assisting doctor she is kept quite busy with her two kids. They enjoy spending a lot of time at the beach, riding bikes, paddle boarding and after-school sports. She is also a pet lover and has a Weimaraner named Cali.
A Florida native, she was born and raised in South Florida where she attended Florida Southwestern College. Most recently Erica worked in North Carolina for the past five years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is excited to be back in Florida and an addition to our dental team. As a hygienist she feels it is important to help educate patients on the importance of homecare so they can have a healthy mouth for the rest of their lives.
Outside the office Erica is an avid cheerleader for her daughter at soccertournaments, they are annual Disney pass holders and she have also has taken on the daunting task of training the family shih tzu.
Born and raised in Ohio she is a huge OSU Buckeyes fan, however, the warm weather and sunny days brought her to the sunshine state to stay. A 2008 graduate from the University of North Florida, Beth has a bachelors degree in Business Management. Previously a receptionist, as well as, a dental assistant in pediatrics and orthodontics, she has combined her dental knowledge with management skills and found her niche helping patients maximize their benefits and understand treatment.
Besides the dental field her other love is her Boxer, Pete. They enjoy going to the beach and the dog park. Beth also volunteers in the community (Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile and her local parish), participates in Dance Trance Jacksonville, and loves to do anything that allows her to be outdoors.

I have been with this office for about 10 years. Dr Matayoshi is an amazing Dentist. Very detailed and attentive. I went to her because my previous dentist was trying to meet a quota with finding problems with my teeth. Dr Matayoshi is very proactive and excellent at diagnosing and setting out treatment plans. I have been recommending her for years.

Integrity is very hard to find among dentists. I won't go to anyone else except Dr Matayoshi. My children now live out of state and still see her when they come to town. The clinic is managed well with low turnover of personnel which also speaks of her leadership and fair treatment of her employees.

Dr. Matayoshi is the absolute best dentist I've ever had. Her staff is nice, accommodating and professional. These are the people that don't just remember your name, but also remember your family, conversations you've had... and the fact that you forget to floss daily. I've had a few procedures done from her office over the years and each time, they take great care to insure 0 pain and a relatively quick outpatient experience. I don't recall EVER having to wait to get in for anything! I highly recommend Dr. Matayoshi's office. You'll wonder how you survived any other dental appointments before them! Lol

I have been going to Dr. Matatosh for 9 yrs.I found her after a bad experience with another doctor. She pays attention to details, she monitors all needs carefully, she is honest, and never in the hurry to move on to next patient. The hygienist team is great. Again, they take time cleaning and don't overlook or neglect any possible issue.

I was super hesitant about seeing a dentist because, to be honest, it's been about five years since the last time I saw one! But Dr. Matayoshi and her staff are so kind and so professional and so thorough, I felt very comfortable the entire time and will be seeing them again soon! The best dentist experience I've ever had.

My first time here. Very pleasant office and process. Minimal wait and the people were great. If you, like me, find going to the dentist a less than thrilling experience then this is the one you should go to.

I was able to locate new patient forms online with no problem. I arrived for my appointment on time, my information was taken quickly and was getting x-rays within about 10 minutes. The hygienist was quick, thorough and patient when I would accidentally bump the x-ray plate. The doctor came in and checked everything, made some comments about what she saw and what could be the cause and she was right. Discussed a treatment plan and I was ready to go. I needed referrals and I was given that info and set my next appointment.

I didn't know I could love my dentist this much! The atmosphere is relaxed and it is apparent that people enjoy working at this office. Everyone is very friendly, waiting times are short and Dr. Matsyoshi is just wonderful. Highly recommend!
