Dr. Sun has been providing, devoting and dedicating the highest care to our community in Huntington Beach, Orange County for over 25 years. Dr. Sun treats the whole family, from pediatric childrens dentistry to adults and geriatric dentistry. She takes care of one patient at a time with her most compassionate, thorough, individualized and undivided attention to his or her needs.
Dr. Sun will listen to you to collect all your signs and symptoms and do a thorough clinical examination and evaluation to formulate the best treatment plan with the most conservative, the least invasive, and the most economical treatment goals for you. We treat all our patients like our own family with the most ultimate respect and compassion.
Dr. Sun received her Master of Science Degree from UCLA School of Public Health and was in the Doctoral Program prior to her DDS Degree from University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA. She has certifications in TMJ disorders and craniofacial pain, including the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (FAACP) and the diplomate status at the American Board of Craniofacial Pain (DABCP).
Dr. Sun has been using all her advanced skill and knowledge servicing the community for over 25 years. Dr. Sun treats each individual patient with love, compassion, and respect as her own family member. Dr. Sun takes extreme pride in providing all her patients with the most advanced, the most conservative, the least invasive treatment possible to bring out the maximum genetic potential and the best quality of life!

Dr. Sun really cares about the well being of her patients. She has been very thorough and detailed about addressing my moderate sleep apnea. The dental device she set up for me appears to have made a c-pap unnecessary. I'm very excited!

As a graduate from dental school I was looking for a specialist that can help me with a severe tmj that developed over the course of 4 years in dental school. My limitation to open was so minimal that I had a hard time eating, chewing and even the basic of brushing my teeth. I could not do any of that without the excruciating pain that I felt constantly in trying to open. I'm so glad I found Dr. Sun, after explaining to me the process of different treatments, she wanted to do most minimal to save me money. In adjusting my bite for a few weeks it started feeling better. After a month of wearing her temporary bite adjustment, my opening had return to normal. I wasn't feeling anymore pain to eating or even opening wide. However I am more weary of limiting my opening from being too wide. Dr. Sun took care of me like I was her own family member. Very caring, knowledgeable and kind. She's a rare gem to find for such a complex specialty in TMJ.

I feel so lucky to have Dr. Sun for my TMJ treatment. I'm a dentist and was introduced to Dr. Sun by my colleague. Not a lot of dentists including myself have extensive training in treating TMJ disease, thus it's rare to find Dr. Sun whom properly guides jaws back to correct position to balance muscle, joint, and teeth. My TMJ/facial muscle pain has been getting progressively worst for the last 4 years. I would have to massage my face muscles throughout the day to try and relax them. Dr. Sun fabricated a day and night appliance and instantly after one night my muscles felt relieved. It's been a month since wearing my appliances and my face looks noticeably more relaxed. It has been such a pleasure working with Dr. Sun. She is very kind, knowledgeable, and generous with her time. I am eager to learn from her and hopefully help my own patients with TMJ in the future. Dr. Sun is amazing. She literally saved me. I was suffering from chronic jaw pain, 24/7 for several months. When I came to her, she knew almost immediately what was wrong. After taking some scans, she confirmed I was having TMJ issues, and was able to recommend the proper treatment for me. One day after wearing my mouthguard, my pain was completely gone! She has been so informative, and truly cares about the health and well-being of her patients. I'm so grateful to Dr. Sun for everything she has done for me.

Dr. Sun has been my dentist for the past 32 years. I will follow Dr. Sun no matter where she goes, and she's not allowed to die before I do!!! I always receive compliments on my smile and even though I moved to San Francisco over ten years ago, I have kept Dr. Sun as my dentist/orthodontist!

I went to Dr. Sun for some jaw and ear pain. Come to find out I needed an infected tooth removed. She is really gentle and I have had no problems with any of my postoperative care. She really gets to the source of the problem and devises a plan to fix it as well as keeping in touch and asking for updates. I really enjoy going to her for all of my dental needs.

Having known Dr. Alice Sun had four decades of experience and service to people, I can say that she is honest and sincere and is always truthful with her patients. The truth benefited me to face my problems. From improper cleaning of my teeth to Sleep Apnea and migraine headaches she gave me very beneficial suggestions as to how to overcome these problems inexpensively. In my experience most dentists did not want to deal with natural solutions to dental problems, but rather promote tooth extraction and implants. Dr. Sun's emphasis is on preserving original teeth.
