A 1989 graduate of Siena College, Loudonville, NY (BS Biology) and a 1992 graduate of The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (DMD), Dr Bassford completed a 1 year residency in Advanced General Dentistry ( AEGD-1yr) with the US Army at Fort Jackson, Columbia , SC. She was honorably discharged from the US Army Dental Corps as a Major after 10 years of service. She is dedicated to education and research and received both Fellowship (1998) and Mastership (2005) in the Academy of General Dentistry. She is aDiplomate with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). She uses state-of-the-art technology including 2D bite-wing radiographs, cad/cam Cerec one-visit crowns, micro-current for anxiety and pain, and physical therapy modalities for TMJ and has stress and relaxation treatment protocols.

I pulled a muscle and dislocated my jaw. Dr. Bassford is a very popular dentist and was booked. But she moved her lunch and saw me anyway. And she massaged, treated and all the while explained how this happened, and what I can do at home to treat and prevent a recurrence. I send many people to her who have had terrible experiences with dentists and they are so happy going to her. I also know she has seen people who have been told they need very expensive and extensive work and she has saved them from being exploited. Highly recommend her!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Alice Bassford over 15 years. When I moved to Frederick MD I could have selected a nearby dental practice. However, she and her staff have always provided excellent service, hence I'm willing to travel the distance. I highly recommend Dr. Alice Bassford.

Dr. Bassford cleaned my teeth. It was a lot of work that took quite a bit of time. That said, I am glad it worked out. I have come to the feeling that I need to cut up my food before I eat it. That way I won't have to bite on it, and I hope I won't break up my front tooth.

Best Dentist on the planet. Really. If I move out of the area, I would fly back for appointments to see her for preventative care - and any other "work" if needed. She loves her job and she is no-nonsense and state of the art in terms of information and the newest latest everything dental. And I got my teeth straightened at a fraction of all other quotes - Just ask about "Aligners" - they use 2 brands you haven't heard of, but the results are 109% outstanding. VERY affordable - suggest you sign up for her dental insurance plan - which could save you a fortune.
