Dr. Alexander D. Cranford is a native of Moultrie, Georgia. After graduating from Colquitt County High School, Dr. Cranford graduated with honors from Birmingham-Southern College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following graduation from college, Dr. Cranford attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. Nationally, Dr. Cranfords dental school class ranked fth on part one of the National Boards Exam and rst on part two of the National Boards Exam. Dr. Cranford served as the president of the dental schools student government association as well as a student ambassador for the international exchange program with Asahi and Meikai Universities in Japan. In addition to being inducted into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Dr. Cranford received numerous awards and honors, including the Deans Medal - the highest honor given by the dental school. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, Dr. Cranford was then accepted into the orthodontic residency program at the UAB School of Dentistry where he completed an additional three years of education. During his orthodontic residency, Dr. Cranford obtained both a Certicate in Orthodontics as well as a Masters of Science degree.

Dr. Cranford is a second-generation dental care provider. His father, Jay N. Cranford, Jr., D.M.D., has been providing dental care to Moultrie and the surrounding communities for more than 35 years. Dr. Cranfords decision to enter into the eld of orthodontics was greatly inuenced by his father, as he saw how much his father enjoyed his profession and interacting with so many wonderful people.

Dr. Cranford is a board-certied orthodontist. The primary purpose of The American Board of Orthodontics is to elevate the level of orthodontic care for the public by encouraging excellence in clinical practice and specialty education. The ABO is the only certifying board recognized by the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Cranford served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UAB School of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics. Dr. Cranford serves on the board for Bridging the Gap Community Outreach, is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, American Board of Orthodontics, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Georgia Association of Orthodontists, Georgia Dental Association, Western District Dental Society, Hinman Dental Society and the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation.

The best part of my job is working with our wonderful patients. I love getting to know each patient and family that comes into our office. When Im not at work, you can find me spending time with my husband and our 2 children. I love shopping, Pinterest projects, and cheering on my hometown Pittsburgh sports teams!

My meticulous personality is a perfect match for the Scheduling Coordinator role. As a soon-to-be Mom, I enjoy getting to know our patients and families and watching them grow. I like to stay busy, but during my downtime, you can find me at the movies, at the gym, or eating pizza!

When Im not assisting Dr. Cranford, you can find me hanging with my family, hiking, kayaking, caving, baking something sweet, cleaning my house, and jamming on the guitar! I enjoy learning about my patients and look forward to the day they get their braces off!

I enjoy assisting Dr. Cranford and love getting to know my patients throughout their treatment. When I am not in the office, you can find me and my 2 children cruising around town finding something fun to do. My family is always up for an adventure and we spend most of our weekends at the softball field.

Its an amazing feeling when you can wake up, and enjoy going to work. I love seeing the confidence build in my patients as I help them achieve their dream smile. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two little ones. I love home projects, shopping, and family outings.

Since becoming a part of the team, I have learned a lot about orthodontics. As a third generation assistant, I have grown to love the dental field as much as my mom and grandmother did and I look forward coming to work and meeting all of our awesome patients. When I am not at work, I am either spending time with my family and boyfriend, shopping, or working on my next DIY project.

I love everything about my job, but my favorite part is seeing our patients faces light up when their new smile is revealed. Like I did for our country, I am a proud Army Veteran and will FIGHT for your new smile! When Im not in the office, I enjoy working out, shopping, and watching scary movies.
