Dr. Albert Johnston is from Dublin, Ohio. He attended St. Charles Preparatory High School in Columbus, and then attended The Ohio State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He continued his professional education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, graduating in 2011.
Dr. Johnston has known since high school that he wanted to join the medical profession. After shadowing his childhood dentist he chose dentistry as his future occupation. He particularly enjoys the hands-on, surgical aspects of dentistry, and also enjoys connecting personally with his patients.
Dr. Johnston practiced in Columbus for five years before pursuing a practice of his own. At the Ohio Dental Association Annual Meeting in September of 2016, he met Dr. Stephen Curran. After visiting Dr. Currans practice in Anderson Township, Drs. Johnston and Curran quickly realized that they had a similar approach to dentistry and patient care, and held similar treatment philosophies. They both knew that a good match was essential to continuing the high standard of care that Dr. Curran had established, and felt that Dr. Johnston would be the right person to take over the practice. Dr. Johnston officially began running the practice in July of 2017.
Dr. Johnstons treatment philosophy is patient-centered. Treatment plans are determined through conversations with each individual patient; the patients goals for their dental care and their smile, along with Dr. Johnstons findings, guide patient care. Whether patients are looking to simply maintain dental health or are interested in improving their smile, Dr. Johnston can help tailor a plan to fit each patients individual needs.
Dr. Johnston and his wife Jessica met in college, and they have been married since 2010. They moved to Cincinnati with their two boys in 2017 after beginning work at the practice. The family is enjoying their new home and looking forward to building relationships within the practice and the Cincinnati community.
