For as long as he can remember, McMinnville dentist Dr. Adam Diesburg has been driven by his desire to care for living things. For him, the future of oral health resides in optimizing the overall wellness through oral health.
Raised in the Midwest, Dr. Diesburg earned both a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Culture and a Bachelor in Liberal Studies with focuses in Chemistry, Psychology and Studio Art from Iowa State University. A fluent German speaker, he studied as an exchange student at the University of Eichstaett, Germany. Dr. Diesburg completed an externship at the University of Radboud in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, with an emphasis in composite resin (the material we use to make dental fillings). There, he created a community program to educate homeless people about oral health.
McMinnville is a special place and Dr. Diesburg and his family moved here in 2011 specifically to be a part of the McMinnville community. He was hand-picked by Dr. Mark Appel, who practiced in McMinnville for 30 years before retiring. The original practice was created by Dr. Eastman in 1951 and was the first dental practice in Yamhill County.
In his leisure time, Dr. Diesburg enjoys the patient art of cultivating bonsai (you can check out our photo gallery of the ones he brings to the office), creating sculpture, painting, playing guitar and swing dancing. But more than anything, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Emily, and sons, Dash and Griffin.
Dr. Diesburgs team does phenomenal work keeping our patients healthy and happy, Emily says. My job is to take what they are doing one-on-one with patients and create broader messages about how our community can achieve long-term health and wellness.
When shes not posting to #McMinnvilledentist, Emily spends time with the two Diesburg boys, Dash and Griffin, teaches journalism at Linfield University, and serves on the board for the Terroir Creative Writing Festival.
When you call our office, you might get Judy, our practice problem solver. Anderson has served Dr. Diesburgs patients for nearly 20 years. A resident of Sheridan, she enjoys the diversity of working in the Baker Street practice and visiting with its patients, many of whom have been coming to the office for decades. She greatly appreciates the family-friendly environment of the practice. Judy has raised two children with her husband in Sheridan and spends her free time volunteering for area nonprofits and helping out in the community.
When you need to navigate confusing health insurance claims, you turn to Annette Nelson, who has been working with Dr. Diesburgs patients for nearly three decades. A native of McMinnville, she is one of the friendly faces you will greet when you visit the Baker Street office. Annette has always loved getting to know the practices wonderful patients. She has raised two boys with her husband in McMinnville and enjoys gardening, sewing, spending time with her family and taking Chinese language classes.
Anna Secrist is our lead hygienist and an invaluable member of Dr. Diesburgs team. Anna has always believed that peoples smiles are important and sees helping people achieve a healthy smile a giant part of helping them achieve their overall health.
One of Dr. Diesburgs stellar dental hygienists, Kaela Dickey graduated from theOregon Institute of Technology with a Bachelors in science in 2017 and worked as a dental assist for 9 years prior to that. During her free time, Kaela enjoys spending as much time outside with her family and loves to read. Sheresides in Sheridan with her family, where she was raised.
Ashleys the newest member of our team but she has fit right in from day one. Shes one of Dr. Ds chairside assistants. Ashley graduated from Chemeketas dental program in 2020. She enjoys the outdoors and visiting the sand dues in Florence, OR where she is able to rider her ATV. Ashley enjoys canning, camping and spending time with her family (including her cat Cupcake). When not working in the dental office, Ashely cares for her grandmother that she loves dearly.

I am consistently impressed with both the office, the dental hygienists and Dr. Diesburg. Been a patient since he came to Mac. My hygienist has a delicate and sure touch: thorough and painless. Diesburg is an artist in my experience with several cavities, lost fillings and a broken tooth, all handled quickly and especially well.

Dr. Diesburg is one of the most thoughtful and attentive dentists I've ever known. His entire office is efficient, kind, and very easy to be around. While most people don't always like this part of our health maintenance, Dr. Diesberg and his team do everything in their power to make it as pleasurable and easy as possible on their patients. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I love the quality of Dr Diesburg's work and the teamwork he has developed with his great staff. I had a crown placed recently and he was great about giving me updates of where he was in the prep procedure as he worked. He, his assistant and the dental hygienist I worked with, all had great technique and communication skills. I am happy with my new Dental home.

From the front desk to the chairs, everyone is amazing at this office. They are friendly, thorough, and above all, knowledgeable. Anna has been my hygienist for years, and is always upbeat, kind and gentle. When Dr. Diesburg checks my teeth, he tells me what I am doing well, and what I can improve on. When I moved to Salem three years ago, I couldn't imagine finding a better dentist office anywhere else! It's worth the extra hour and ten minutes round trip every six months! Thanks for being awesome!

Our family recently switched to Dr. Diesburg's office after hearing good things from friends who see him. We have been so pleased with every step of the process.. The office is peaceful, I love the thought they've put into the space- art, plants, and windows that look out at green space. The hygienist was thorough and efficient... the music was low-key... and the front office was super helpful with insurance, transferring records and scheduling. Dr. Diesburg is calm and competent, great for someone like me who has always hated the dentist! I loved that he took time to actually educate my kids about their teeth. We recommend him highly!

I've been a patient here for a long time. Today I had some dental work, and the surface of my tooth was restored to original factory spec. Like my molar was a canvas and was painted with precise artistry of Davinci.

My husband and I have been going here since we moved to Oregon and we have been very pleased with Dr. Diesberg and his office staff. Very professional but friendly and we chose him because of his experience and education. We have some challenges and Dr. Diesberg has made great recommendations also he is willing to see my husband and get him in on very short notice .. His hygienists are gentle and thorough.. gentle being a key word! We feel very fortunate we have such a great option here.

I've always had an excellent experience with Dr. Diesburg and his staff. For context, I'm a fairly uncomplicated patient who pops in a few times a year for a teeth cleaning. The facility is lovely and welcoming, and the front desk staff has been great at re-checking my benefits when I underwent an insurance change. I really, really appreciate that Dr. Diesburg and his staff run on time, as I often schedule my teeth cleanings right before I have to head to work, and it can be stressful when other dentists have run significantly later than my appointment time. Every hygienist I've worked with has been friendly, thorough and leaves my teeth sparkling clean. And lastly, I always feel Dr. Diesburg spends plenty of time with me doing an oral cancer screening and listens to any concerns that I have. The entire clinic staff is really lovely, and you'll definitely be well cared for here.
