Dr. Doxey SheldonDr. Doxey Sheldon was educated in California. She graduated from Foothill College, Los Altos, California with her dental hygiene degree. She immediately went back to college at California State University, San Jose, California for a degree in Zoology and Chemistry. She was a Phi Kappa Phi honor society member. In 1976 she entered Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis and graduated in 1979. Besides starting her private practice in 1979, she also taught in Periodontics, Endodontics and Dental Morphology from 1979-1990. She is owner of Sheldon Dental Group and belongs to many dental organizations including the American Academy of General Dentistry Emeritus. She has published articles on dental microscopy and teaches techniques of the dental microscope to dental professionals.
Dr. Linzi Cavanaugh received her degree in general dentistry in 1994 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After receiving several awards for the high academic honor, she then attended a program for 2 more years in Advanced Education. During that time, she practiced dentistry for the underprivileged. She is a published dentist and is a member of several dental organizations. In 1996, she practiced at a nursing home for 1 year before coming to Sheldon Dental Group.

Melinda was helpful and courteous on the phone. She scheduled my appointment at a time that was convenient for me. Dee, the hygienist, does a great job with cleanings. She's always very gentle and thorough. Dr. Doxey takes her time with the examination; checking around each tooth and tongue looking for any abnormalities. She's the best.

A crown of mine decided to pop off at the most inconvenient time. They were able to get me in the same day, and Dr. Cavanaugh did an outstanding job resetting it. She is friendly, funny and very caring. I will be seeing her very soon for my check up. Great staff, and Melinda does a fantastic job on the front desk. Always friendly, thorough, and I swear she never ages! Dee always does the best and most thorough cleaning of anyone I've ever had. Doxey is the consummate professional and does outstanding work. I've been coming here for 28 years! They must be doing something right!

I've been a loyal patient of Sheldon Dental Group for 40 years now. Dr. Sheldon and her entire staff are all consummate professionals. Dr. Sheldon taught at the Washington University School of Dental Medicine for years . The office is always super tidy and clean and the staff takes the highest precautions to protect the patients and staff during these times of a pandemic. I would recommend anyone to come here.
