After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Finance from Florida Atlantic University, Dr. Tyler Markus decided to pursue another passion: dentistry. He received a B.S. in Biology, Dental School Education from Midwestern University, and is thoroughly enjoying his career as a general dentist. Dentistry was a large part of his life, as he was first inspired by a family friend who is a dentist. Then, while he was working on his finance degree, his sister became a dental hygienist, and her love for the profession piqued Dr. Markuss interest.

As a general dentist, Dr. Markus helps every patient improve their smile. If youre nervous or fearful, Dr. Markus is ready to address your concerns and help you feel more at ease. His ability to problem solve and think outside the box helps every patient in the community get the best smile possible, no matter what you need to get there. Dr. Markus is outgoing and friendly, while his compassion and professionalism reassure patients theyve made the right choice. Our office is a judgment-free zone it doesnt matter if youve neglected your oral health or had a dental emergency we are only interested in getting you better with a healthy, confident smile.

Dr. Markus is an Invisalign certified dentist and can ensure patients get the results they expect when straightening their smile. As part of his commitment to providing the most advanced dental care, Dr. Markus believes in continuing education and plans to further his training as much as possible, especially in restorative dentistry. He also enjoys placing dental implants and performing oral surgery.

When hes not diagnosing and treating patients, Dr. Markus loves exploring Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. Considering himself somewhat of a foodie, he especially enjoys partaking in the diverse culinary scene in Chicago. As much as he loves cultivating smiles, he also enjoys gardening and maintaining his home, as well as traveling and relaxing with his family, which may be getting bigger soon as he and his husband will be growing their family! In the future, he hopes to volunteer by providing dental services to those in need.

Nichole is here to help with just about anything that our patients or staff need on a day-to-day basis. Whether that involves helping to coordinate a patients insurance benefits to throwing a birthday lunch for a staff member, somehow she gets it all magically done with a smile. This comes naturally to her since her mother and her two sisters all worked in the dental industry, too. She loves being able to help patients feel comfortable coming to the dentist, and also helping them solve financial questions or problems regarding treatment.

As a Dental Assistant, youll find Emma helping Dr. Markus with nearly every treatment and procedure he performs. A family member inspired her to go into assisting, and then when she started taking the coursework at Moraine Valley Community College, she found out she was really good at it. After graduating, she still continues to take continuing education courses, such as scan and design training, so that she can keep up with changes in dental technology and techniques. She loves how much attention goes into making each and every patient comfortable, no matter if theyve just come in for their bi-annual cleaning or if theyve had a dental emergency.

Outside of work, Emma likes to volunteer in her community, and shed love to teach or mentor students in the future. She loves going on nature walks, playing video games with her son, and socializing with family and friends. She and her fianc are frequent visitors of La Vieja Castilla in Blue Island for their great Spanish food.
