Dr. Watwe grew up in the Livonia area in Michigan. She earned her Bachelors degree in Physiology from Michigan State University, after which she graduated from The University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. Dr. Watwe then elected to receive an additional year of dental training at a General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Here, she expanded her knowledge in oral surgery, root canals, implant dentistry and general, restorative dentistry. After her GPR, Dr. W worked as an associate for a private practice in Dayton, Ohio for 3 years. However, she truly missed Michigan, and more specifically, the Lansing area. She has been living in the Lansing area for almost 4 years now, while working as an associate in Charlotte, MI.
Even when Dr. Watwe is not at work, she can be found taking educational dental courses online or catching up on new dental technologies at home. She enjoys golfing with her husband in the summers, reading, playing with her tortoise-shell cat, and doing yoga.
Tammy has been with Dr. Mallory since 2010 and will be transitioning to be the Office Manager and Insurance Coordinator for Downtown Dental Studio! Prior to working in the dental field, Tammy had worked in the legal field since she was 18, with her last title being Judicial Assistant for the Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. She has embraced the change into the dental arena and thoroughly enjoys her job! Tammy and her and husband enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, kayaking, cooking, playing games/cards, music and just hanging out together. They have five adult children and four grandchildren. Tammy is very knowledgeable about insurances and will be the greatest help with any financial concerns you may have!
Jessica has been a Dental Assistant at the Downtown Dental Studio location, formerly Dr. Mallory's office since 2006. She and her husband live in Williamston with their son and two dogs. Jessica enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. Jessica LOVES getting to know all of our patients and helping them overcome any dental anxieties or fears they may have. She is a hardworking, generous, kindhearted assistant with an expansive knowledge base in many dental procedures. Jessica is the best person to have next to you while getting any dental procedure!
Joanne is a mother of two beautiful children who enjoys the outdoors, movies, and trying new foods! She graduated dental hygiene school in 2018 from Lansing Community College and has since been doing what she loves to do best, helping others to achieve excellent dental health. Her favorite part of her career in dentistry is the sense of instant satisfaction both she and her patients feel after their dental hygiene cleaning is completed. One fun fact about Joanne is that she loves to bowl! Joanne looks forward to being a part of the reason that YOU smile!
Teneille graduated from Lansing Community College's dental hygiene program in 2016, and is looking forward to pursing her bachelor's degree in the near future. Teneille enjoys working with a variety of patients and staying up to date with the latest technologies in dentistry. She has a strong passion for educating her patients on periodontal disease and helping patients overcome dental fears. Her philosophy is to treat each of her patients with individualized care and attention, as if they are family. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and traveling. You will definitely achieve a healthier smile with Teneille's knowledge and guidance on your side!
After 35 years of dedicated service to the Lansing community, Dr. Mallory has decided to retire from dentistry. A letter has been sent out to all patients about this transition, but we wanted to introduce you to Dr. Priyanka Watwe online also! Dr. Mallory cares greatly about the friendships he has formed with his patients and wanted to ensure his patients received the best possible care after his retirement. Dr. Mallory is very excited to transition his practice to Dr. Watwe, a warm, competent, compassionate dental practitioner.

Jessica set up an appointment and then they cancelled it, when they could have told me to come to the new location, instead of giving me the run around. Jessica and dentist got an attitude along with me. When someone has other appointments, they don't like that, because they expect you to cancel your other appointments and make time just for them. I would recommend everyone to stay clear, they don't know what the word caring means! 8-3- I knew that you were going to be liars, saying that you care. You idiots did this, because you guys feel that certain people should say the Hell with their other appointments and make you the most important. You guys need professional help. I feel sorry for your patients.

I have been to many different dental offices as I've moved, but DDS is the best I've been to so far. The staff is very professional, always in a good welcoming mood, and their use of technology in cleanings really blew me away (they wanted to talk about a few teeth, and so they used a device to take images of the teeth quickly and put them on the room computer so we could talk through them together).

The entire staff at Downtown Dental Studio is very friendly and knowledgeable. My appointments have always been on time and they have taken care of all my dental needs with no issues. I would recommend Dr. Watwe, D.D.S. as a great dentist to have for all your dental needs.

I really trust Downtown Dental in Lansing. They've taken great care of me and my teeth. (I don't use my real name on Google but my initials are JDP. I was in on 07/26/2022 for crown fitting).
