The dental office at 533 4th Place in Solvang, CA has been a home for dentists for decades. A lineage of dental professionals including Dr. John R. Klein who began practicing in 1968 and finished his career at this very location in 2015. He built his practice with the care and confidence you look for in a local doctor, treating generations of patients.
Then in 2021, after 39 years of practicing, Dr. Pourcho decided it was his time to pass on the tourch. He wanted to bring in a local Santa Barbara County resident who would be able to provide that small town care and carry the practice for years to come.
Dr. B was born in Northridge, CA but was brought up in a small city in Southeast Michigan. Before dentistry he worked in the banking and hospitality industries, starting with his first job as a dishwasher at the age of 14. After high school graduation and a year at Michigan State University, he decided that Michigan winters were still too cold and made the choice to head back to his native California.
Since 2004, Dr. B has been a resident of Santa Barbara County. These days he lives at his home with his dog, Koozie, and 3 Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Dusty, Lucky, and Ned, in the Santa Ynez Valley, enjoying the picturesque landscapes, bountiful vineyards, and a relaxed living.
For his undergraduate education, Dr. Brugnone attended Michigan State University, SBCC, and CSU: Channel Islands where he earned his B.S. in Biology. Subsequently, he attended the NYU College of Dentistry and graduated with honors, including advanced training in TMJ therapy. He has practiced in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties alongside some of the most influential mentors. He utilizes state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based dentistry to provide his patients with the most current and accepted practices in the dental field.
